The Watercooler : Hardest “normal” jobs

Hardest “normal” jobs

I mean not like astronaut or US President.

I’d say most things medical - pharmacist, medical doctor, nurse - are hard jobs. Webmaster (nimda) is easiest (I kid)

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Fast food, catering, teaching.

Sulk off, cornelly

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Teaching is tough

Most retail/customer centric jobs are hard in the sense you deal with people’s bullshit. Having worked in retail before, it can be hard but there is so much bullshitting around. Probably less so in food service

Good talk.

Not a nurse, but a CNA. They do all the medical shit work, sometimes literally.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Terrible job.

The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

It is honestly the worst job anyone can have. I'd even put it below fast food because there is so much bullshit involved and the pay is shocking.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

I doubt it's even close to the worst job you could have, but it certainly is terrible. Dealing with demented old people and their nastiness, no thanks. It's probably the most common job for females. A very large number of my ex-gfs did that kind of work.

Fast food seems like one of the easiest jobs you could have, not sure why anyone bitches about it. I would think it's right there on the top of the minimum wage job heap.

The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

It’s the customers people cite when they say food service is hard. But the effort required to do the work, especially if it’s fast food, doesn’t seem too bad.

I can see waiting tables being difficult at a busy restaurant but I’d bet the worst thing at most fast food joints is watching the clock turn slowly

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Waiting tables is much more demanding than fast food.

Let people who bitch about how terrible their fast good job is work with raw sewage or something all day, let them see what terrible is. Pussies.

The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Who even voluntarily decides “I’ll work with raw sewage”? Jfc

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

It probably pays decently. Work part time minimum wage or work with raw sewage full time for a livable wage + benefits is probably an easy choice to some people.

The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Makes sense. Garbage men make $30-50k which is what I’d expect for sewage management unless it requires a degree. There may be more to it than, uh, meets the eye

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Degree in sewage management > 35 year old 8th grade dropout working part time at McDonalds.

The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

lol 50K/year isn’t liveable

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

So they do 2 sewage management jobs. $100k. Hungry says it’s under 40 hours

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Vs 10k at McDonald's is very livable.

You're trying too hard to sound like Steve lake. Maybe post more pics of watches to impress us, that should do the trick.

The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

haha

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

my original comment was mostly a joke but let’s dive a lil deeper here

50K/year is roughly $3000/month

rent (over here) is $1500-$2500 depending on location
factor in phone/internet bill , car payments , insurance , food & groceries which are now at the highest prices they’ve ever been , drugs & alcohol , throw a kid in the mix or any dependants ? that aint liveable … maybe barely liveable but not comfortable

also i’m nothing like that faggot 🙄 i’ve never claimed to be rich or a millionaire or w.e he says , i just have taste

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

It used to pay so little. It’s about $16-18 an hour on fl now which is much better than what it used to be. I started when it was only $12 an hour

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

That’s what I am now but considering going back to teaching. I think I’m in a better place for it now.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

No it’s not sometimes it’s all the time lol

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Posting on Filmboards…..I’ve yet to receive one penny!!

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Property management / apartment leasing consultant. My day job. 😆

You have to put up with so much bullsht from crazy ass residents.

Basically it's like running an adult day care center.

It can also be a lot of fun though.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

I rent and my property manager is very strict. She keeps the trains running on time. Would’ve been a real asset to ole Adolf.

I love her. Not really but she lays down the law. I can tell it’s a difficult job. You probably learn to see through bullshit real quickly dealing with hordes of needy weird tenants.

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Oh yeah, for sure. I got some real life crazy stories. I'll share later.

I'm really surprised there hasn't been a reality show about working at apartment complexes.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Why tf are you up?

I live on the same floor as the apartment manager. She’s a nice lady but she’s always so wound up, probably because of the job or maybe it’s just her personality. Idk. Have a beer in her honor

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

3:54 Central Time. F*** yes I'm up. Been drinking tonight but had some fun.;)

About to eat and crash. How about you, why you up so late?

Cringe Crew

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

I slept. I wake up early all the time.

Also it’s time change, forward an hour.

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Oh f*** I forgot about that. Haha

Oh well I'm off today.

I met a nice girl yesterday. She's close to my age.

Nice figure, nice looking and single.

But I think she might be Muslim. She's a prospect looking for an apartment.

Dude, she was giving me the green light the whole time as I was showing her apartments like she was interested, even touching on my hand.

She kept moving her smallish sized boobs close to where my hand was more than once to have an accidental touch. Chicks do that.

As we were looking at paperwork I could feel her breathing on me. (But she's not a slut type)

She literally turned me on.

Sorry I had to tell you that I just have to vent to somebody. 👻

Cringe Crew

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

I slept with a Muslim girl before. It probably depends what kind of Muslim they are. My girl was very Americanized.

They’re great, idk if it’s because they’re repressed or what but real eager and sexually open. You should go for it

Good talk.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Any job working with the great unwashed pretty much, but also working in kitchens, locked away for hours, damp, grey, hot, an element of responsibility that doesn't match the wages. You can't have a off day.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

Working in retail is really hard because of the people you have to deal with. A lot of goddamn fucking assholes always telling me how to do my fucking job.

Yes, this is really me.

Re: Hardest “normal” jobs

I’m gonna say cna too. I know from experience and it’s a high stress job and deserves better pay.
