Saqw him today on Gunsmoke "Tassie"(59) ; very good.

Lew Gallo was a real and skillful actor. His rugged good looks didn't put him over as a star player, or even as a much sought after character actor. I can't help but wonder why. He could steal a scene when given half a chance. A semi-regular supporting role on the TV series 12 O'Clock High gave him some good chances to shine, and shine he did now and again, but the big breaks never came his way. This doesn't seem right. Gallo was a personable actor, and easy to like.
