Gargoyles : Goofs in the movie

Goofs in the movie

I had to point out a major mistake in the film. It's when the Gargoyles attack Mercer, Diana, and uncle Willy in the shack the first night, Watch as the beam falls down on Willy and you can clearly see the director (or someone?) fall into the scene and then try and get out of the cameras view. This is a low-budget flick so i guess they had to keep the shot...only had one chance at it I'm betting. But you can pause the dvd and see the mistake.
You can also see someone (director?) in the back seat of the stationwagon, looks like his shoulder sticking up, he's wearing a blue t-shirt...probably the same guy that falls in the beam scene, lol...then the next scene he's gone.
Also like it when the motel lady goes to the police station, she reaches in the cop's desk and pulls out a bottle of booze..funny how she knew exactly where to look for the booze.

Anyone else notice the falling director scene?

Re: Goofs in the movie

Nope? Only the scene where you can see someone in
the backseat.

Re: Goofs in the movie

Well...if you own this movie..(like i do)...watch it again and unless you're blind you will see the mistakes.

Re: Goofs in the movie

I don't consider the motel lady knowing where the police chief kept his liquor a mistake. It was obviously a very, very small town, and the motel was in walking distance of the police station. Over the years, she was probably over at the station quite a bit with various complaints, or just out of boredom...I'm sure she and the chief shared a drink or two at one time or another.

Definitely saw the lurker in the backseat, though....maybe it a sound man, moving a mike back and forth between Wilde and Salt?

Re: Goofs in the movie

That's not the "director". Most likely it's a rigger or stuntman, possibly pulling a tripwire to trigger the roof falling in, starting the fire, or something like that. Directors don't stand in front of the camera while filming. The guy in the back seat of the car is probably also either a stunt supervisor or a sound man, or something of that nature.

Re: Goofs in the movie

Those were gargoyles (in people suits).
