Star Wars : Forgotten scene from one of the Star Wars movies

Forgotten scene from one of the Star Wars movies

I barely remember these movies anymore. I saw this part recently on YT. It brought back childhood awe and wonder.

Good times!

Re: Forgotten scene from one of the Star Wars movies

Proof that Starwars had a strong leading lady back in the day, along with few others, without it being rammed down our throats.Funny how no one made a big deal out of Ripley from aliens being the strong female hero either. Now the toxic feminist agenda forces it upon us.

Melting down over top boy

Re: Forgotten scene from one of the Star Wars movies

When I was a little girl, I would take a t-shirt, wrap it around my head and twist the sides of it into a bun like Princess Leia. She was my idol for a long time. Then I found other movie characters to idolize. I grew out of that stage long ago.

Speaking of Ellen Ripley…

I remember some negative comments linking her portrayal in James Cameron's theatrical version of Aliens, to feminism. I agree that Ripley does seem a little too much like an asexual superhero that latched onto Newt for no apparent reason other than as a cool plot point.

Re: Forgotten scene from one of the Star Wars movies

When Ripley was found, and brought back to consciousness, at the beginning of Aliens, she discovered that her own daughter had grown up and died while she was in stasis. A good enough reason for latching on to Newt?

Re: Forgotten scene from one of the Star Wars movies

I've discussed this before. I'm not going to have the same debate with you about this so that nimda can somehow re-create moments from the past. This is a moment idgaf about.

But you were the one who commented on it, and I simply responded.

They did cut out the female rebel pilots from Return of the Jedi though.
