Hawaii Five-0 : Football around Valentine's Day?

Football around Valentine's Day?

In the hotel, Danny turned on the TV to a football game... what game could that have been?

Re: Football around Valentine's Day?

Don't know, don't care. Friday nights show was a disgrace. This queer-baiting has got to stop! Steve had more physical contact with Danny then he had with his date. Asking him if he wanted to switch teams? And what was up with him practically fondeling Danny's ear!? Adjoining rooms? Facials at the spa? Frisbee into the ocean? Using their "immunity and means" to break into that kids room to get back a non-existent pair of $20 sunglasses? Steve should have bitch slapped that whinny idiot. What, taking a day off from work means you leave your brains at home? And the crime of the week was just absolute nonsense. No wonder they don't show previews of the upcoming show. What a disappointment.

dapoppaq - I think you should stop holding back and say what you really think, lmao 😂.

I still haven't had a chance to watch the episode. The sneak peeks gave me flashbacks to the season 6 couples therapy episode when McG was suddenly a big player chasing skirt (and cheating on Lynn too btw), i.e. totally off canon.

I don't care that the show is cheesy, or that it doesn't make sense at times. It entertains me so job done. However, I miss the magic from the earlier seasons.

Re: Football around Valentine's Day?

LOL. I guess I could calm down a bit, but really, this show was just so stupid on so many different levels that it was hard to believe anyone would put their name on it as writers. The couples therapy was high drama compared to this episode. Your right, there was magic in the earlier seasons. It seems that PL is now trying to replace it with fairy dust. If that is his intention, so be it.

Re: Football around Valentine's Day?

I like your honesty. You're not alone in your assessment either.

I'm still holding hope that Alex will recover from his injuries and reconsider his decision to leave after Season 8 (assuming we do get a season 8 and beyond, of course), but if he continues getting scripts like this then I really doubt that'll happen. Bright side, at least he got to enjoy some pampering while filming 😉

Re: Football around Valentine's Day?

Don't know if anyone else remembers, but way back in the early seasons, there was an interview where Alex O'L said he would love to do an episode without an actual crime of the week and just be a fun day at the spa! I don't know if he was joking or not, but looks like he got his way! LOL!

Re: Football around Valentine's Day?

True, and all these talks between Steve and Danny, always picking up with each other about such useless things, are not funny at all and sometimes are even hard to pass through them.

Re: Football around Valentine's Day?

If i recall correctly I think the football game said Classic in the corner. I assumed it was like the ESPN Classic channel that shows old games.
