All of the ones he did with Leonardo DiCaprio because I've always had a crush on Leo

Re: Favourite Martin Scorsese film
One I saw fairly recently, HUGO (2011), a masterwork in my opinion. Of his earlier films that aren't quite as pleasant, I'm a fan of MEAN STREETS (1973).
I haven't seen RAGING BULL (1980), which is one that I think I might like. Most of his films are too violent for me, and several of them I just don't think are very good.
I do, however, admire his dedication to film preservation.

Raging Bull is one of his most violent so you might want to skip it.
I watched Hugo on a cruise ship. I’ll have to watch it again one day because, although I liked it, it isn’t the best way to appreciate a film.

Raging Bull
Thanks so much for the warning about RAGING BULL. I have a feeling it's one of his better films, but I imagine its violence is why I let it go by the first time around.
As for HUGO, yes, you probably give it another view under better circumstances. I avoided it when it was first released, thinking I wouldn't like it. But I saw it recently on tv and was totally mesmerized by it. Wish I'd seen it on the big screen. It's beautifully done.
