Re: Favorite Movies of 1979?

Yeah, I'm definitely excluding some, but if I included movie ratings from a 7.5/10 or a 7/10, I'd still be typing :)

"Hothead" has Patrick Dewaere (from Serie Noire without the tilde). I liked "The Marriage of Eva, oops, Maria Braun" (I think that was a conscious move).. I love Hal Ashby, and really liked the first half of "Being There", but the "schtick" got old toward the end… I think I tried to watch "Christ Stopped at Eboli", having liked Rosi, and Gian Maria Volonte, but not sure why I didn't see it. For some reason, I thought it would be like, "Todo Modo" (and I like Petri)

I've added many of the movies you've listed on my watch-list, but I have almost 2,000! The problem I have now is that this piece of shit laptop won't even dare play .mkv and some mp4, and it's hell using my other almost dead laptop to download, switch HDMI cables, transfer, and then not have it work.

Oh, and you're right about "The Deer Hunter" - I think I made that mistake after seeing someone start a post for 1978, and noticed there wasn't one for 1979.
