Re: Elvis

His character choices remind me of Leonardo…

Ironic considering they were both in Catch Me If You Can.

We don't talk about Bruno! No, no, no!

Fuckin’ Baz Luhrmann…

Re: Elvis

The dude who brought us Romeo + Juliet (back when Leo was cute) and The Great Gatsby is giving us this?!

I do like Austin Butler, but he is miscast IMO.

Re: Elvis

I hope the ghost of Elvis haunts these mofos for desecrating his memory.

Re: Elvis

Are you a BIG Fan of Elvis Presley ?

Re: Elvis

I could go along with it if only this kid had blue eyes.

You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Re: Elvis

There are definitely other actors who bear a stronger resemblance to the King, however, when I read the article Miley posted about Priscilla, in some of the shots, there actually is a slight resemblance to his earlier visage.

In the back of my mind, I always pictured Adam Lambert playing Elvis Presley if a biopic was ever done. He could even do the actual singing since Lambert has an extremely wide vocal range.

^^^this^^^ does get quite repetitive to watch because for the most part, (though not all) it's him singing sections of the same Elvis song, over and over, while he's fronting for Queen in a series of concerts in 2018. It's easy to get the general idea, however, why I think he could pull Elvis off quite well.

Re: Elvis

I agree that there are, and when the day is done, there was only one Elvis. There will never be a perfect match.

WOW! Adam Lambert is amazing on that!

I remember another actor who played Elvis. He also didn't have blue eyes, but he captured the essence of the young man. Priscilla must have thought so as well, because she produced a TV show called Elvis in the 90s. Really good too!

Do you remember this?

Re: Elvis

Wow, this is great. I've never seen this before, but I'll definitely have to check this out. It's amazing what an impact he made on music (of all genres). He had such an incredible voice and stunning presence.

Isn't it something, in retrospect, how his hip gyrations created such a hoopla and were perceived as sensational outrage? Look at what they're doing now, and Elvis seems mellow by comparison. Seems to me, he was just having a good time and getting into his music.

With regards to the movies about Elvis, I wonder why no one's thought of using coloured contacts (or more recently, even doing it digitally). Seems like a pretty simple enough thing to do.

Re: Elvis

Austin Butler (star of the upcoming film) is naturally a blue-eyed blonde.
