The Gold Rush : Does it really have a voice over?

Does it really have a voice over?

Saw this yesterday and it has a narrator unlike his other films which is only with sentences in screen. Did i just watched an edited version of the film?

there's two versions of the movie

the original 1925 version is silent, and the 1942 re-edit by Chaplin cuts out a few scenes and adds voice over narration to the whole movie.

Definition of troll on IMDb - anyone who expresses a view different to mine.

Re: Does it really have a voice over?

The voice over just tells you everything you're already seeing and is more distracting than anything. Watch the original version.
