Comic Books and Comic-Con : Do you have a comic book collection? Would you sell it?

I have stuff dating back to 1984 including some key issues such as Spider-Man’s first appearance with the black costume. I got the collection appraised online and don’t know if I should accept the offer. The money would be nice but ultimately would just cover my recent spending sprees.
