Film Art and Cinematography : Do You Like Movies That Explore Things You Wouldn't, But Think About?

Voyeuristic stuff, for example. I'm a curious guy, but I'd never screw with someone's privacy, so watching it in a movie gets my "fix".

a lot of illegal stuff might seem like fun, but probably not as much in real life. Hence, why some movies are fun. They can help bring out the imagination you already had inside of your head, opening up dormant issues in the subconscious, or simply inserting yourself in a situation where you can imagine how it would be, or changing a few things around - The Collector, for example. I would never kidnap a woman and leave her in my dungeon, but I do wonder how on Earth it would living like that for months, and even years, as some others have in history. Stockholm's syndrome is an interesting phenomena.

Only adventure movies like Star Trek, Castaway, Mission Impossible, and superheroes. Only a couple of outlaws were written and portrayed as cool enough for me to wanna be like Thelma and Louise, Billy The Kid, or Dr Evil.

And what about certain unique characters… For example, some actors become the character, and it might be hard for some to transition back.

I get a kick out of seeing actors play roles i normally wouldn't expect from them or be in a movie genre I normally do not see them in. When the actor is just having fun with it.

Example, Robert DeNiro in Meet The Fockers was cool cuz he usually doesn't start in comedies. He has funny lines in the movies he normally does but I've never seen him to an official comedy before MTF.
