Classic Film : "David And Lisa" on TODAY at 12:30pm on TCM
Re: "David And Lisa"
Yes, a superb film, with great performances by Keir Dullea and Janet Margolin, as well as great, Oscar nominated direction by Frank Perry working with a screenplay written by his wife, Eleanor Perry (also Oscar nominated). Their first effort, and what a powerful one it was. I also read the book upon which the film was based, written by the psychiatrist, Theodore Rubin, which was also deeply moving. A film that should be seen. It's very special.
Re: "David And Lisa"
His 60s stuff was great, but when Frank divorced his wife (also a writer) his movies took a bad turn. Unless you have any recommendations. I saw "Mommie Dearest" in college, though.

Re: "David And Lisa"
I would strongly recommend Last Summer, Diary of a Mad Housewife and The Swimmer. I didn't see Mommie Dearest, for which I am forever grateful.
Re: "David And Lisa"
I've seen all of them. "The Swimmer" is one of my favorite movies.
