If you squint and pause it at the perfect spot then it will look like he is letting out the most epic fart of all time!

The sound of that engine reminds me of the infamous German V-1 rockets of WWII, nicknamed "buzz bombs" or "doodlebugs" because of the distinctive low buzzing sound they made.

What we don't see is the video of him walking all the way back to his truck.

Re: Crazy Rocketman: Rocketman riding the Rocket Board!

He was probably less than a mile from his truck, judging by the speed he achieved, which wasn't all that great.

Re: Crazy Rocketman: Rocketman riding the Rocket Board!

Wow. It looks like this thing can reach speeds almost as fast as a bike.

Re: Crazy Rocketman: Rocketman riding the Rocket Board!

Yeah, I noticed he wasn't really going all that fast.

Re: Crazy Rocketman: Rocketman riding the Rocket Board!

I’ve seen this guy before. He's quite impressive with his one handed steering, while the holding the Go-Pro stick!

These propane powered jet engines have been used in a variety of projects over the years, including ultralight aircraft. One such project was the Vortech Kestrel Jet, ultralight helicopter. The engines were mounted at the tips of the rotor, eliminating the need for the counter-torque that would typically be associated with a helicopter. To my knowledge though, no one has actually ever built and flown one.
