Comedian Podcasts

Is there a better one than Bill Burr? I loved his first handful of stand-up specials, but his last two haven't been as good, and some of his own fans feels like he's getting softer with his podcast, and I agree to an extent. Some think it's the new environment of interference, the mob full of trolls, professional offendees, bandwagoners, but also because he has two children now. Probably a combination of all of them, but I think he's still the best, and have been listening to his regularly on Monday and Thursday. I need to check out when he goes back in time in the 2nd half of the Thursday episodes, as a time capsule. I have listened to a few, and even in ten years, you can see the change with political correctness, etc..

There's a guy I found out from a comedy board by the name of Andrew Schultz. I've watched a bit of his stand-up (decent) but I think his podcast is funnier. He has a co-host and a few others in this room, and they brought on Alex Jones recently, and it was pretty funny.

So I checked out some comments he made about Chappelle and artistic license. I wasn't surprised that it was said, but didn't think he would be the one waving the white flag. "Is it really worth a month of constant scrutiny from Netflix?" and then he brings up possibly losing some money. I think he became popular because he didn't give a shit what he said, and after his fans hear that, I think he might lose some. I also think this Chappelle non-controversy is giving them more business. I'm sure there are some who don't even watch stand-up (or at least Chappelle) who thought, "What's this hullabaloo all about?"

Re: Comedian Podcasts

Podcasts are full of so much puerile padding that I lose interest.

Re: Comedian Podcasts

Most of them, yeah. Not enough vitality.
