Philosophy : Class of 99; Wear Sunscreen
Re: Class of 99; Wear Sunscreen
It is a great speech, but was not originally done by Baz Lurhman for the record. It comes from an article published in the Chicago Tribune.
"Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young", commonly known by the title "Wear Sunscreen", is an essay written as a hypothetical commencement speech by columnist Mary Schmich, originally published in June 1997 in the Chicago Tribune.

Thanks for the nugget of knowledge.
😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

Re: Class of 99; Wear Sunscreen
90% of skin damage is thought to be due to sun exposure. So, I always put on sun screen in the morning. But only on my face and neck.
This got me thinking… do the other cells in my epidermis get jealous over the relatively favored and better treated skin cells of the face? Are there mass demonstrations over skin cell inequality? No, of course not. Because skin cells aren’t as pissy and irritable as actual human beings.
Cheerio.

If you watch this brilliant 1999 commencement speech by Baz Lurhman (the film director), you will gain valuable insight on many things.
