Boiler Room : C drive

C drive

Like the entire C drive would fit on a floppy disk. Lmao.

Re: C drive

I was thinking the same thing. Even for the early 2000s, that floppy would not fit everything.

Do I have to give it to you?

Re: C drive

I don't think any medium back then could hold it, save for a tape drive. No CDRs and I don't even think zip drives were out yet (or at least still only 100mb).

Re: C drive

The average HDD was around 10 GB in 2000. 3.5" floppys(what he used) hold only 1.44MB. That would be over 6900 floppy discs!
LoL

Re: C drive

Yeah, well, they said they wanted the data of his whole hard disk, but they probably just meant relevant business data. He obviously didn't need to copy Microsoft Word or the "WINDOWS" folder onto that disc. Only his "My documents" folder. Which probably does fit on an old floppy disc since it would be just a bunch of text files.

Re: C drive

I'm presuming most of the important files were text files of leads. Names and addresses etc so it's feasible.
