The Green Green Grass : Biggest plot hole of the entire series?

Biggest plot hole of the entire series?

In the first episode Boycie sells his business and the house and buys a house with a farm in Shropshire.

Then he goes and buys Rocky the gay bull for £18,000 which ends up at £19,000 when he has to get Rocky back from the mad Welshman.

Running a farm isn't cheap, bearing in mind that Boycie has four members of staff to pay in all of that. Then there's the purchase of 300 cows for the farm which couldn't have been cheap. We never see or hear of any contracts with any outside company during the course of the four series, so how did Boycie manage to avoid going bankrupt?

A good looking depressed guy smoking a cigarette is not a movie!

Re: Biggest plot hole of the entire series?

Actually we do. Although we never see or hear of any specific company's. There is dialogue indicating that things are selling well.
