$50 million homes?

Re: $50 million homes?

I like the mansions on the water in Fort Lauderdale, which I saw from a boat ride in 2004 when I graduated from high school and was visiting relatives where I was born. 👻

Re: $50 million homes?

Beautiful. I'm sure they each have a staff of at least a dozen for cleaning and maintenance.

Re: $50 million homes?

Yes, indeedy! At least. I figure if they can pay upwards of $50 million for a house (can you imagine the taxes on that sucker, much less the upkeep?), they must surely have a huge staff.

I always wondered about Tom Brady and his family. They have a massive home they call "quaint" or something, but aren't there only about 4 of them? What do they do what all that extra space of 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms or whatever? Or people like Taylor Swift who have 4 or 5 homes.

I understand if you're on tour, you get a place to crash, but most often, they're doing shows, and landing in hotels, so how often do they really get to use "their houses" as "true homes"?

Re: $50 million homes?

Successful artists and athletes really only work a few months out of the year. The rest of the time is spent luxuriating and enjoying their expensive things I suppose.

Re: $50 million homes?

But do they divide their time between five houses across the globe?

Re: $50 million homes?

I kind of like this one, but I don't know if I could live without being closer to water:

^^^ Isn't that beautiful?

^^^ This is from the grand palace in Paris, at $54.6 million, and while it's gaudy, I wouldn't say no to this luxurious pool. Imagine a night swim?

^^^ Bel Air, California, - too much for me. Meh.

Re: $50 million homes?

I've watched YouTubes of mansions. Here's a top one that's new, but I don't expect anyone to watch it all if any. Looks nice.

Re: $50 million homes?

I find that mansion bland and uninteresting. It doesn't even have spectacular views, and it's situated in the middle of a lot of other bland mansions.
This is what I would like, if I even liked mansions. - which I don't!

Re: $50 million homes?

I'm not a fan of them either. I never quite could figure out the appeal.

At one point, my mother and her 2nd husband lived in what I'd refer to as probably one of the largest houses in one of the wealthiest towns in Massachusetts, and again when they lived in Florida. In each case, I never felt comfortable in either house. I couldn't relax. It didn't help that each house was kept like a museum that was clearly meant for looking and not touching.

Don't touch this, don't get that dirty, don't move and don't breathe!

Re: $50 million homes?

Add a few swirls and twirls and other things… Maybe, not make it have so many flat parts. Of course, use different colors.

My eyes are set on artistic/academic prowess. "The money will come?" I would like to make my house fancy. Some seem big even if they aren't and aren't mansions. I had a 2 story house in the New Orleans area that was new in a new neighborhood that took awhile to complete. However, I think only half of it was the top floor and it didn't seem that big. I was happiest in a small house in Saint Augustine.

Re: $50 million homes?

The views are stunning. I love the woods, and the mountains!

I gotta have me some big mountain ranges, but also be close to the ocean and lakes. That's why I start to feel panicky when I'm in the desert or anywhere that's very flat and dry.

Re: $50 million homes?

This home is my favorite of the listing.

Re: $50 million homes?

I’ll give them an IOU for the first house, and then I’ll pay them back the second that I win the lottery.

Re: $50 million homes?

The first one looks just like my house!

😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

Re: $50 million homes?

I've been in a few houses like this and I just don't get why they do it. Sure, it's nice as fuck, but even if you can afford something like that you generally really can't. Within 5 years you'll be living in an apartment wondering where it all went wrong because you can't afford the upkeep, taxes, etc. on it.

That's why these houses are always on the market. The majority of people living in multi-million dollar homes actually have a lower quality of life than someone with a normal job living in a normal house, believe it or not. Obviously there are exceptions, and those are the people you should really be jealous of.

Re: $50 million homes?

I completely agree with this.
