I agree with all of these except Catherine Avery. She's a meddling, manipulative btch of a mother who spoiled Jackson (even going as far as to make him president of the board) and in return expects to be able to run his life. He turned out well DESPITE her, not inspight of her.

I get the sense you don't like strong women. Catherine is not without her flaws. It she's certainly not awful.

exactly, Catherine may be meddling, but shes still a good loving mother who gave her child the world and appears to have always put him first.
I mean we havent had many bad mothers. Cristina and Merediths mom were the only horrible moms on the show.

Callie's mother wasn't great either. We never saw Addie's mom but she was bad on PP.

true. I only saw a few episodes of PP and never any with her mom so I cant speak on addie's mother. Im torn about Callie's mother. She essentially abandoned her when she found out she was a lesbian, but up until that point I feel like Callie was also really loved and raised in a great environment.

Izzie's mom was an airhead and annoying, but you could tell she fiercely loved Izzie.
Derek's mom was great (to Dereknot so much to Amelia)
Hunt's mom was good too (even if she and Hunt were spatting most episodes she was on)

I don't think I've missed any eps since Day One but cannot recall ever seeing Arizona's parents or Callie's momalthough I remember hearing about them.
