Hustle & Flow : 10 years later

I watched this film when it was first released and was blown away. Watched it again recently and it was just ok. What gives? Did they edit or recut the movie? Am I just jaded or used to this raw style of movie ten years later? Maybe I was just expecting too much when watching it again

I guess the same thing can be said for many other films that are ten years old

Yeah, I saw "Reservoir Dogs" once, in '93 and liked it, saw it again about five years later and wondered what all the hoopla was about. Now I don't care if I ever see it again. I mean, I don't hate it don't necessarily love it, but if I never see it again, I'm okay with that.
