Totally love her clothes in the movie. Especially the off the shoulder black shirt when Sue and Kenny are trying to go to the grocery store.wonder if they sell some article like that online. Very cute.

Not a fan of the rust and lime green outfit she wore, I think for the first day at work. Saw this again (man HBO has played the crap out of this since the 90s. seriously) & it's awfulness jumped out at me for some reason this time. C'mon rust? And lime green? Ewwwww.

I didn't like her shoulder pads. They were way to big for her small frame and it just looked ridiculous. I know that was the fashion back then but eww!

I miss the fashions from that era, though as someone stated in one of the previous posts, some of those looks are coming back into style with some modifications. I did not like the outfit with the red lapels, but I do like the rest of them.

I was watching yesterday and I miss them as well. Just watching brought back memories of the fashions. I'm not sure if it's the same outfit the OP is referring to, but the one when they bounce in the toy store is cute. It's all I can remember right now but I liked most of them too. I miss the cute and comfortable side of 90s fashion. And it was early 90s so the fashions were still somewhat 80s.

On a side note her friends reminded me of Barbie dolls, especially Katrina in one of the early scenes and all of them in the runway scene.

Funny that you mentioned that outfit. I couldn't sleep last night and just caught DTMBD on cable and I was thinking how horrible the red/green combination looked.

Funny how the mother had all of those business clothes & party dresses, but didn't seem like the type who would wear them.

Interestingly, my favorite outfit of hers is actually a work outfit as opposed to a regular one. The red getup she wears when Gus takes her to lunchI really like that.

I remember the early 90s had heavy 80s carryover in general. I feel this movie reflects that well, for example near the beginning of the movie when Sue Ellen wears thrift store fashion with that long black dress and those big neon green shoes. Her friends have big hair and flashy clashing neon clothes like in Saved by the Bell from the same time. Compare with Clueless from just 4 years later and things had changed drastically by then!
