Bewitched : Did Samantha have a maiden name?

Was this mentioned? Or are mortals the only ones with last names?

Well... when Darrin first meets Endora he starts to call her "Mrs..." but then stops. She says that he would never be able to pronounce her last name. I find that hard to believe. How hard could her name be? I always thought she was just being coy and refused to tell him her last name.

Maybe Samantha told him her last name but it was never mentioned on the show. There were a few witches who did have last names, such as Sarah Baker in a first season episode.

Perhaps last names were not all that important to witches since they didn't have the usual mortal paperwork to deal with like bank accounts, income tax forms, Social Security cards, etc.

In addition to Sara Baker (which has always sounded so strangely ordinary for a witch), the only other witch/warlock I can think of with a last name is Dr. Bombay. In fact, I don't think he had a FIRST name. (Or did he?)

Forgot about Dr.Bombay! I used to think that the character had that name because it rhymed.

Samantha would say "Dr Bombay, emergency, come right away."

She couldn't do that if was "Dr. Jones". LOL Speaking of Dr Bombay, I wonder what medical school HE studied at.
