Bewitched : RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
Re: RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
Dr. Bombay, Dr. Bombay! Emergency - come right away!
I loved this character. He was fun in every scene.
Now that leaves Bernie Koppel (the apothecary) and Erin Murphy (Tabatha) as the only two surviving characters of the show.

You forget the actors who played Adam in the series...
Re: RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
Nancy Kovack, who played Durwood's ex.
Re: RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
I was just about to post about it. Very sad:(
Re: RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
While I'm sad to hear news like this, I must confess that Dr. Bombay was never
a personal fave of mine. He was just too campy and annoying, particularly in
the Sargent years. I did love his appearance as the snobbish, phony Osgood
Rightmeyer in season two. And I felt his very first appearance as Dr. Bombay
in season three's "There's Gold in Them Thar Pills" was his best.
Bless him for showing up at all those BW fan shows. He was a nice man. RIP.

Yeah he was very campy! But what else could the actor do with a role like that?😂
He had one of my favorite lines from the whole series. When Samantha's "weeping willow" made her cry, she called Dr. Bombay back.
"What is it this time? Does your crab grass have the croup?" LOL That line always makes me laugh.
R.I.P. Bernard Fox Thanks for the laughs!!

He is also very funny in the season six finale, "Make Love, Not Hate." Love when
Larry enters that crowded kitchen, spies Bombay, and awkwardly says, "Hi."
BOMBAY: Evidently.

He did have some funny one-liners. One of my favorites is when Darrin asks him how to repay him and his eyes get all serious and he says, "I want...YOUR SOUL." Darrin looks completely frightened and then Dr. Bombay looks at Samantha and says, "He's a bit of a square isn't he?" lol

Re: RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
That "I want your soul" cracked me up too. He was campy but loved him!
One time Endora tried to flirt with him to get what she wanted but he brushed her off with something to do with her age. Don't remember the exchange now. Considering some of the nurses that showed up I can see why he was picky.
Love the episode where he was turned into a photo to be slid under the door. As a kid that one just fascinated me.

He wasn't really one of my favourites either, but it's just sad that another cast member of one of my favourite shows has died.

nothing against him but i found that character annoying. i remember him as malcom meriwether on the andy griffth show.
Re: RIP: Actor Bernard Fox dies at 89
I enjoyed him. He was never in a scene too long - which helped, as a little of him went a long, long way. What was best abut his character was the reactions from those around him - those who just didn't get his humor (Endora, Darrin).

I love Bewitched show and all the characters/actors. It's sad to see many of these talented actors passing away now. :( Bernard Fox continued his career througout his lifetime which is a huge accomplishment. We will miss you "Dr. Bombay."
