Bewitched : I wasn't born until 73 but

I wasn't born until 73 but

I can't think of my childhood without remembering watching Bewitched re-runs in the late 70's and early 80's. When ever it comes on a channel today it just floods me with memories. I miss this era of TV, it was so much more wholesome. I prefer it over today's stuff. I could watch Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Bonanza, The Big Valley, Gunsmoke, Batman, Wonder Woman, Star Trek, Mission Impossible, Hawaii Five-O, The Twilight Zone, Gilligan's Island, The Wild Wild West, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Starsky & Hutch, Kojak Emergency, Chips, The Brady Bunch, Ironside & The Outer Limits over and over and never get sick of them. The Bewitched theme song is burned into my memory.

Now we're stuck with fake 'reality' TV and 'contests/games' for entertainment. How wonderful.

Re: I wasn't born until 73 but

Bewitched is certainly not on a par with The Mary Tyler Moore Show or
Cheers, perhaps, but it's better than virtually every TV comedy on
Today.

I cannot believe what people watch. I know two people - and these are
SHARP individuals - who are glued to "Big Brother", which I find
offensively stupid - truly a show that panders to the lowest common
denominator. Pure garbage.

The last "new" sitcom I watched was "Lost in Cleveland", which ended two
years ago. Cute show. I do respect "Big Bang Theory", but I just
can't get into it, as it's just too "weird" for me.

Yes, unfortunately we are stuck in one giant horrendous 'unreality' show called, Trump's America. Tragic....

Re: I wasn't born until 73 but

Same with me. I was born in 75 but grew up watching Bewitched, Brady Bunch, The Monkees and other older shows.

Re: I wasn't born until 73 but

I was born in 69, but for me coming home from school was always about watching Gilligan's Island, Bewitched and Brady Bunch, and the Flintstones during lunch.

Re: I wasn't born until 73 but

Yup I watched all those, by the time we got to 83/84/85 it was all about Transformers, Voltron, Thundercats, Silverhawks, G.I. Joe & He-Man. By the time the TMNT came out in 87 I was done with cartoons but still kept watching re-runs of all those old TV series you mentioned. If I ever stayed home from school seems like I was always watching The Price is Right. Lol
