Re: Why No Mork and Mindy?
What made the joke was that in later seasons there was some animosity and people left the show hurt or angered and were replaced, eventualy all three if I remember right. That's why it would have been hell to go back. Mork and Mindy ended I think because Robin Williams got bored. Creative genuis yes, but day to day grind ain't his schtik. So no joke.

Old post, but what the hell. Only Susanne Somers left Three's Company, because she wanted to be paid much more than the other two actors.
John Ritter and the brunette remained the entire series.

Well, that is done after he goes back to rescue her, while she is in front of a train. How could they have her do that? I think also because the film is more about him causing all this trouble than her.
Re: Why No Mork and Mindy?
I agree there should have been a Mork and Mindy scene, I actually heard originally there was, but it got trashed for some reason.
I mean even though she was in front of the train they COULD have worked in something I'm sure, maybe before she got there or when they were going through all the other channels.
Just because we lose today's battle doesn't mean we've lost tommorow's war.

Re: Why No Mork and Mindy?
When Helen and Roy are separated after she escapes the Northern Overexposure set, it could have easily shown her rising behind the kitchen counter, behind the front door or the couch on a replica of the Mork & Mindy set. She could have taken one look around [with shots from her perspective thrown in] and said: "You've got to be kidding me!" Then a conduit opens up nearby and she beats it out of there. Simple and effective. I suspect there was such a scene and/or reference planned, but upon talking with Pam she nixed the idea.

Re: Why No Mork and Mindy?
From what I heard, they was a M&M scene, but they couldn't get Robin Williams and couldn't get anyone who could do him justice so they didn't want to waste any more time with it and just scrapped it.
