This includes the Private Message system. After in-depth discussion and examination, we have concluded that IMDbs message boards are no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide. The decision to retire a long-standing feature was made only after careful consideration and was based on data and traffic.

Increasingly, IMDb customers have migrated to IMDbs social media accounts as the primary place they choose to post comments and communicate with IMDbs editors and one another. IMDbs Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/imdb) and official Twitter account (https://twitter.com/imdb) have an audience of more than 10 million engaged fans. IMDb also maintains official accounts on Snapchat (https://www.snapchat.com/add/imdblive), Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/imdbofficial/), YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/imdb), and Tumblr (http://imdb.tumblr.com/).

Because IMDbs message boards continue to be utilized by a small but passionate community of IMDb users, we announced our decision to disable our message boards on February 3, 2017 but will leave them open for two additional weeks so that users will have ample time to archive any message board content theyd like to keep for personal use. During this two-week transition period, which concludes on February 19, 2017, IMDb message board users can exchange contact information with any other board users they would like to remain in communication with (since once we shut down the IMDb message boards, users will no longer be able to send personal messages to one another). We regret any disappointment or frustration IMDb message board users may experience as a result of this decision.

But it has been fun for the last 10 years.

DesertDude, I hate to see this forum go, too. I have no intention of trying any of those other social media thingies, so this is a fond 'fare well' to you and all of the people I have interacted with and exchanged ideas with.

Criminal Minds has been the thing I've posted about the most; I feel that I have learned much from it about behavioral analysis and human behavior.

DD and Tree, we must find another place to communicateI've seen and felt this coming and had almost given up on this site anyway because of the nastiness and name calling that it has been reduced to. That nastiness is one of the reasons I don't post as much anymore. It seems the only posters were the loser trolls who thought the world was waiting with bated breath for the next words out of their mouths, and I got tired of reading about them. One such poster had the audacity to offer the opinion that the words (among other things) that were said on the board were not indecent and they had the right to speak them, so at the end, most of the posters were this cadre of trolls who were so happy to fill in the blanks with their nasty words. I don't tolerate fools well, and there were a bunch of fools on this board.

So, let's take this time to meet somewhere else to chat about kitties and CM.

And people wonder why it's "cool" to be un-PC intentionally

It's because modern establishment does whatever they can to restrict free speech, when no one here has threatened anyone nor used any form of racial/sexual slurs.

Insulting people by calling them dumbasses on online forums is not indecent, lewd, or offensive. Anyone who tells you they've never used that word in-person with friends, or online, in informal casual conversation is a liar.

Surely there is another discussion board for the show that doesn't rely on "Snapface or Instachat". Does the CBS site include a discussion forum? Maybe the Criminal Minds Wiki site?

This is no doubt Virgil Williams' fault, yes?

What a shame! This board has been so interesting with such a wide range of contributors. I shall miss it - even the resident trolls! Thanks all for being so entertaining.

Mr. Franks is actually pretty tame compared to other posters I've seen, considering this is a site-wide shut down. People have threatened others' lives.

Do anybody know of a forum for Criminal Minds fans? I'll definitely join.

Wow. That is unbelievable. I have had the same account with IMDB for 14 years. This is the one place where you can find a forum for every single show. This is very very sad and disappointing. All things come to an end I guess.

I agree 100%. Been on IMDB for almost 12 years. I do not believe that I will continue to use it once the boards are gone. There really is no reason to.
