Criminal Minds : CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
Re: CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
Oh my gosh if I said who [is returning], I would possibly give more away than I want to give away, Messer hedges. But were really acknowledging the history of the series and being able to bring back people who have made an impact, good or bad, on our characters. And were having a really good time doing that.
Hmmm, this seems interesting. Who plagued the BAU that isn't dead?
Karl Arnold (The Fox)
Anyone??? Bueller??? Where's MyAwakening, he knows every unsub.

I changed my username, this one is more appropriate.

possibilities;
is Frank dead? I mean, we saw him and Jane jump in front of a train, (bus? truck? I don't remember!) but is it possible he isn't dead?
if it's an unsub with a particular involvement with Reid:
Owen Savage, from Elephant's Memory
Adam/Amanda Jackson from Conflicted
Cat Adams from Entropy (Aubrey Plaza, I'm hoping for this one!)
Antonia Slade (Frances Fisher from Devil's Backbone and The Storm)
the Luke Perry character from Minimal Loss 'blown up' in the religious compound explosion but perhaps he survived?
that interview makes it sound like it's *not* Mr Scratch, but that storyline hasn't been resolved
evil twin/eviler twin from Inspired/The Inspiration?
the guy that killed the pedophile in Instincts/Memoriam?
Commander Riker from Uncanny Valley?

Commander Riker that made me laugh. Poor Jonathan Frakes. Forever a role
Re: CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
Impact, good or bad, on our charactersGOOD or bad. Could it be Elle?
Re: CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
too bad she pretty much blabbed it to tvinsider."Mr Scratch"
Re: CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
Playing a role in that ride is a character who, akin to serial killers Mr. Scratch and Tommy Yates, will deliver a blast from the BAUs past.

This says it's someone other than Mr Scratch. Plus, he's already back, been here since the beginning of the season.

Oh, I do hope it's the Mountain Man, from "Blood Relations". That actor has made a career of being in horror films and is great at it!

I wish. :(
How about everyone's theory of Elle Greenaway back as an unsub?

Re: CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
That could be interesting. I've always been torn on the Elle (and Gideon when he was alive) as unsubs. I know a lot of people wanted Elle and/or Gideon to return as unsubs. I've always thought it could be very interesting. Since both were part of the BAU and had knowledge of how they work, they could definitely outsmart them and be hard to catch. I could see Elle as an unsub more than Gideon (but he's dead now so it doesn't really matter).
But then at the same time, I would also be a little sad to see a former team member turn bad. So I'm torn. If a really good story is told it could definitely be a good story for sure. However, I think the writers from the earlier seasons would probably handle something like this better than the current writers.
Maybe we will see Elle again. I think Harry said on Twitter that we have a better chance of seeing Elle again than Hotch

Re: CM Boss Teases Another Return, BAU's First-of-Its-Kind Journey
I remember when it was the Replicator season and people wanted it to be Gideon and I thought the only why that would happen is if Mandy agreed to return and/or Gideon had a serious brain injury and went psycho - Either way Gideon being an unsub never made sense - or did I think that would've been "cool" it would've totally be a slap in the face to the character.
Also, Reid as an unsub is one of the most absurd ideas I ever read - honestly. He's too keen on fixing/solving problems than ever murdering another human being.
Now, Elle, I can see her being a vigilant unsub by killing others that are bad people/killers. Since we saw her already "go there" in Season 2.
^ Agree with this 100%
