Renee Zellweger is onscreen for about a five seconds, as an extra in the hazing scene and at the "moon tower" party. She also walks across the frame in front of the arcade place, though the only way to spot her is the costume is the same as at the moon tower party.

Matt Damon is definitely NOT in this movie. Just about anything you need to know about "Dazed" you can learn from the Linklater commentary on the Criterion Blu-Ray or DVD. For example, I learned that O'Bannion actually appears towards the end of the movie during the party at the Moontower. It's very brief, but he's in the front of the crowd watching the fight between Mike and Clint.
