Beavis and Butt-Head : Why doesn't MTV Classic show any of the episodes from the 90's?

Every time I've watched MTV Classic so far and watched B&B, all that is ever shown is the episodes from 2011. Why won't they show the older episodes?

Agreed. Not sure. I think it might have to do with them not wanting to show music videos from the 90s - which depletes the purpose of having a channel called MTV Classics!

Especially since MTV Classic was created just for 80's, 90's and 2000's programs!

Copyright issues with the record companies

They could easily just show the versions from The Mike Judge Collection that had the music video segments removed, be better than the ones now with the shows/music videos i've never even heard of an they dont even really make fun of the stuff in the new segments they watch.

That's what I thought at first too, but if you watch any given episode of 120 Minutes or Rock Block on MTV Classic, the stuff they show is basically the same caliber. In fact some of the videos I've seen were actually featured on Beavis and Butt-head ("Who Was In My Room Last Night" by Butthole Surfers, for instance).

I literally just asked my brother this exact same question. Something from 2011 isn't "classic" since that was just 5 years ago. I thought MTV owned the rights to air the show but at least with the new version, all the clips are MTV original horrible shows. Personally, I didn't like the 2011 B&B and would prefer the originals.

Wasn't there versions without the music videos in them? Why not just air those? And why is there no GODDAMN Sifl & Olly on this channel!?!

I've actually stopped watching B & B on MTVClassic until they start playing the older episodes. I can only watch "Werewolves of Highland", "Copy Machine", "Time Machine", etc so many times.

That is so true. One of the reasons I stopped watching the original MTV in the first place was because of those shows in the first place.

Mike Judge didn't like a lot of the classic episodes, and he's embarrassed by others. Hence the heavily edited episodes on the DVDs.

So perhaps he only wants them to air the newer ones.

Ok, I'm bumping this thread, because an episode from the 90s was shown this past Monday. It was the Halloween episode from 1995, in which B & B go out and cause mayhem on Halloween. It's one of my favorite episodes.
