Like, When Scout Master Lumpus told everyone that there's Dinosaur fossils underground, but in the end, There really is a dinosaur fossil.

Yeah, that does get pretty annoying. And sometimes on shows they do it so often that it's predictable.

Well, that happens on a lot of cartoons. It's uaually to make the liar feel "salty" (or embarrassed for those who dont' use that expression). That's always funny.
