Another response which makes no sense.

I think what you mean is "A misogynist pig is in the Oval Office!" You were close with bacon but call him what he really is - misogynist pig.

Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
HA HA LOL Once again a Bill Clinton supporter shows his hypocrisy!! A supporter of a man who treated women, inclding his own wife, like garbage, posts about misogyny. Go look up the definition of the word already!!!
My goodness, don't you EVER get tired of sounding like an absolute A@@?? Guess not, cos ya keep posting stupidity.

Most gay men I've encountered have a decent sense of humor. pvd, on the other hand, proves the law of averages.
Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
LOL Casualties!!!
Well I think this might be summed up in "you reap what you sow". During the campaign season, Kelloggs pulled ads from Breitbart since it wasn't in keeping with their "comapny values." Basically Kelloggs gave a slap in the face to millions of their cereal eating, Trump supporting customers.
There were on-line petitions to boycott Kellogs products. I am SO SURE that the screeching lefties here who are thrilled that Ivanka's products are being pulled from shelves would UNDERSTAND that Kellogg's brand is headed down the crapper. I am sure that they are celebrating the right to "grab your wallet" and spend your money where you choose to spend it!!
I feel sorry for Kelloggs employees, many who are probably Trump supporters for losing their jobs, but hey, Kelloggs, ya bought it! Ya own it!
I like cereal myself, but from now on I guess I'll "hang onto my wallet" andbuy POST products.

Wow - you just enjoy other people's misery don't you? I think that's what you said to me about Ivanka's Empire crashing and burning. Although Kellogg's isn't crashing and burning - they saw 'billions' in profits, and surprised Wall Street.

Are you sure they are going to lay them "of"?

Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
No I don't enjoy other people's misery, unlike you! Is there any comparison between us?? Lordy! I hope not!
You've started numerous threads on what you perceive and "hope" are the unhappy lives of Ivanka, Melania and Tiffany Trump. Did I start ONE post about Kelloggs? Who did that? Uh that would be you!
I posted that I felt sorry for Kelloggs employees. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised that your reading and/or comprehension skills are not up to par. LOL
I read about the boycott months ago. If I wanted to buy a Kellogg product, I would have. But I usually only eat cereal in the summer when the temperature goes up and I don't want to eat hot food. Even though I said that I'll buy POST, I wouldn't hesitate to buy Kellogg cereal if I got a hankering for Special K. But I don't care for most of their cereals anyway.
Unlike you, I am not rubbing my hands together in glee, hoping that a company goes under. You on the other hand, seem to have a permanent hard on over Ivanka's failing business enterprise. Well if that does it for you
Stop trying to use my words against me, you're just
not very good at it. It takes a certain cleverness and well we know how "clever" you are. LOL

I do like me some Cocoa Krispies every now and then.
Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
Obama brought a record of seventy-five months of job creation when he left office, and cut the unemployment rate in half from what Bush left him in 2009. 156, 000 jobs were added in his last month in office - December, 2016.
So maybe your husband should have looked for a better job during the past 75 months? Chances are very good he probably would have found one.

Oh how dare you kittens! You and your husband have had a lifetime of "white privilege". You shouldn't complain, life was all roses, lollypops and rainbows for YOU!
PVD ought to know. Living in your parent's basement makes you an expert on the problems of the world!
Obama found a job for HIMSELF, and if he could do it, anyone could. LOL

Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
Yeah lifetime of white privilege my foot. I couldn't get jobs in the past because they preferred Spanish speaking employees. How's that for a kick in the pants in AMERICA..
Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
pvdnot attempting to take a way from Obama's remarkable accomplishments in stemming the blood-loss he inherited, but not knowing what expertise "kitten's" husband has, it's impossible to assume that his odds would have been good to have found a 'better job' if he had gone looking. Most of the jobs gains in the past several years have been associated with entry-level positions, including the demoralizing contractual ones which come with no or extremely reduced benefits.
Sounds like "kitten's" husband was fairly tenured within his line of work. She included no specifics in her post to help explain and understand her points, but I'd caution her not to place the fault of her husband's particular situation fully on Obama's shoulders.
On a similar note, although I respected that Hillary didn't lie to those employed by the coal industry like Trump did by promising to bring back their jobs, I did feel it insensitive and tone-deaf and absolutely counterproductive to her campaign to stand before a group of her supporters like she did on several occasions declaring with a sweep of her hand that the coal industry and those jobs are gone forever.
Don't mistake me, I'm in agreement with her and those who realize that the coal industry is one that's on it's way outbut messages devoid of any specific alternatives that lack respect for and don't acknowledge those whose labor we've all benefited from tend not to go over very well.
Change is constant and inevitable, but the ever-increasing pace of it's approach has all of us understandably frustrated and even frightenedhistory has taught us time and again that some (many in fact) have been mowed over, lost and forgotten in it's aftermath, especially where viable solutions have not been reached through efforts of consensus.

Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
I usually don't get into personal issues in my life on here other than expressing what I believe or don't believe. I won't get into it any further and now regret even saying anything.
My point was to point out to pvd that things happen, no matter who is in office. I don't necessarily blame Obama for what happened to my husbands job but I wanted him to see that everything today is not Trump's fault, either, as he loves to harp and harp about.
I don't know how he and so many thought Obama was epitome of perfection.

True, but it's impossible to say his odds would have been bad if he went looking, too. We will never know.
Trump promised 'better jobs, great paying jobs, etc. While he's in a Twitter rant with Nordstrom, the jobs being brought in by him are at WalMart and Dollar General. He really sold the Rust Belt a bill of goods. I'm sure they're regretting it now. But sometimes, you need to live and learnand this will be a hard lesson to learn for those who voted in Trump.

Re: Kellogg's to lay of close to 1200 workers
Maybe he was told that he was overqualified at the fast-food franchises that provided those jobs.
If the economy had been half as rosy as you insist, the Democrats would have carried the rust belt and won the EC by a landslide. Obama insisted on taking advantage of the financial crisis to push for legislation and measures that crippled rather than spurred a robust recovery, and set the stage for historic losses on Capitol Hill during his tenure.

The cereal company - which produces Kellogg's cereals, Eggos, PopTarts, Kashi, Morning Star Farms, Pringles and Keebler cookies - will now stock products directly in their vendor's warehouses, rather than their distribution centers.
President Paul Norman said the move will free up more revenue for 'brand building' and 'advertising'. In 2016, the company reported a loss of $53M in it's fourth quarter, but profits were up 28% to $1.4B for the year, surprising Wall Street analysts. With Thursday's news, their stock rose 4%.
Employees were not worried, since President Trump has promised them 'billions' of high paying jobs during his Presidency. He did not comment on how he would help Kellogg's keep their 39 centers open, and how he was going to save jobs, though.
