Wow, incredibly sad news.

Very sad. Prayers to the family.

All I can say is wow!!!

Heartbreak, grief, a need to be with her daughter. . .I can only guess that they all played a role. Another huge loss for the family, and so close to the first loss. Very sad.

Third time this week I came online late in the day because I went out to family holiday celebrations to come home and read shocking news of a passing in the entertainment field. Wow. May they all rest in peace.


The truth of life has been revealed.

This is horribly sad. She desperately wanted to be with her baby girl. I completely get that. I feel so bad for her granddaughter (Carries daughter) and son. My heart goes out to their family I can not imagine this type of loss.

So sad. May Ms. Reynold rest in peace.

It takes a sick mind for someone to keep replying to your posts when you said they're on ignore.

Very sad news, indeed. Their poor survivors. Last week they were most likely planning for Christmas and the New Year; this week they are planning a double funeral. Life can change in a matter of seconds.

This is no coincidence. Debbie Reynolds died of a broken heart. There is no greater pain than losing a child. My mother lost her first born, my sister, just six years ago and shortly after she was diagnosed with dementia. My mother died six months ago.

So sorry to hear this, palprincess. And I agree - this is not coincidence at all. It happens often - we all have heard stories similar to yours.

My aunt and uncle died within a week of each other after 52 years of marriage, back in 2004. My aunt had been diagnosed with aggressive colon cancer about a month before her passing (she was a very fit, active, health-conscious 75 year old). Her husband died the day after her funeral, from a brain aneurysm - again, a healthy, fit, active 75 year old who never spent a night in the hospital, yet spent every day exercising and swimming. The two of them were inseparable; they worked at the same place together before they retired, and spent their retirement travelling, visiting my cousins, doing charity work etc - always together. The family was comforted in knowing they were together again.

I agree, pvd; loved ones call one another home.

When my dad died when i was a teenager i crumbled but felt terrible for my grandparents. They are still alive today and it amazes me their strength. My grandpa can not talk about it and I respect that. Its just too much for him. I look at my son and i truly do not think i could go on without him. I know the loss of a parent and it killed me emotionally. But the loss of a child? I dont know how anyone can survive that.
