Teen Wolf : Stiles and Malia

There is just something about the Stiles and Malia relationship I prefer over Lydia and Stiles.
They never judged each other and always looked out for one another. Yeah Stiles has always loved Lydia and Malia came out of nowhere but in season 4 the Stalia moments are all that stands out for me.
Honestly if Teen Wolf were to have a time jump 10-15 years in future I'd see Lydia with Jackson.

Yeah people hated Stalia but I think the best girl for stiles is malia IN MY OPINION.

Livana, no. you are imagining some big "EPIC TRUE LOVE" build up. i don't even have a preference on who Stiles could end up with but to insist that Lydia had had some secret love for Stiles building up for the past couple of seasons is ridiculous and somewhat scary since you are seeing things that aren't there. where was this build up from Lydia when she was with the werewolf twin guy or when she was into Parrish?

oh and considering (it seems to be) Stiles is gone from the show and in all likelihood won't be returning for season 6B and considering that Lydia WILL be in season 6B then umwhere is your Stydia deal now?

Yeah I liked Stiles and Malia (finally started to appreciate them after I saw that crazy 3x20 episode) but I will always prefer watching Dylan and Holland's scenes together. I just love their scenes. who knows what would happen if Lydia and Stiles were played by someone else..

I started watching in may 2015. in that time I was able to get past through all 4 seasons and I watched it in this order. season 1.. a part of season 2 season 4 and the rest of season 2 and then season 3..lol I know it is stupid but I just did it. I've always been a spoiler girl.. so I know what's coming.. I heard quite bad things about season 4 at that time (probably because in comparison to the first 3 seasons season 4 was really bad). so I watched it first lol.. who knows what would happen if I was into Stiles and Malia first but the first videos, photos and whatever it was for Stiles and Lydia and in the moment I found out there's someone else who's dating Stiles I was into them too much.. I couldn't get myself into them at first at all and only with time I started to like Stiles and Malia but never love them. I'm never able to change what I love when it's about relationships in tv series or movies. yeah it happens.

Only with time I started to get to know and realise that Stiles and Lydia are not really great as a couple soo even though now I was happy with their scenes I was also sad a little that they are together now (even though I'll alway prefer their scenes whatever they are doing and whatever they are) but I really don't think Stiles and Malia would have any chance to last either. well, now it doesn't matter anymore cause the show is ending and Dylan won't be there either way.

Lydia and Jackson could be a great relationship but he has to change very much even more than Lydia did and the fact that I'd prefer her with Parrish more than Jackson even though she will have to wait to be older so it's not soo weird anymore says everything.

I was never fully on board, they reminded me of Xander and Anya too much. Like a carbon copy. I was sold on Stiles and Lydia when she corrects him about winning a Field's medal.

While I hate the Xanya pairing, I have to say that it is so much better than Stalia. At least there was some build-up to Xanya becoming a 'ship. Can't say that about Stalia.

I prefer stalia but i think a big reason why is we NEVER saw stiles and Lydia as a couple..if they did then we could see if we liked them better..even if they broke up then got back together..but we never got that..and in s4 and s5 Lydia and Parrish were constantly flirting,(not talking about parrish's hallucinations) her bringing him coffee at midnight, staying up with him..hand touching..that is buildup to a relationship but this season completely dropped that. I don't even know a time where stiles and Lydia flirted.

Stiles and Lydia were never seen as a couple. Lydia never saw Stiles in a romantic sense. All of that was in the imagination of the Stydia shippers. And then in season six the writers of the show saw fit to force a relationship between them. And yes, the writers were developing a relationship between Lydia and Parrish in season five.

Stiles and Malia doesn't make sense cause Malia as a character doesn't make sense.
What is Malia interest? Besides being naked half of the time?

Malia has more character development than most of the people on that show.

He never judge her? Do you remember why they broke up to begin with? There was a lot of judging in that scene. He liked her but at the same time he was her glorified babysitter. He's always there so she won't unintentionally cause a mishap. Malia character didn't even start showing a personality or development until she start having scenes without Stiles. I started caring about her when she stop being a prop to Stiles.

Lydia was the girl who Stiles obsessed over. I love how even after he told her he liked her, she didn't jump in his arms. she was still in a relationship with Jackson and I liked how she's not a confused, wishy washy damsel in distress character. It took a long time to get to know the real Stiles to get to the point she is now. Stiles got a chance to know her as well and loves her for who she is in contrast to the girl he thought he knew.

I'm the only Stydia shipper who saw this coming apparently. However its simple: majority of screen time is either Sciles and Stydia throughout six seasons they're the one who get most screen time out of any character on the show so I knew who were the people that's being invested in. Point blank.

Maybe Stiles and Malia doesn't work, but Stiles and Lydia doesn't work either. Stydia was forced on viewers. There was no interest from Lydia toward Stiles until season 6. The Stydia shippers only imagine any interest.

I absolutely prefer Stiles and Malia. I thought they were a really cute couple. I was disappointed when that just kind of dissipated. They didn't even really break up or anything. It was weird. Like one day I just realized, "huh, I guess they're just friends now". I never ever felt ANYTHING for Stiles and Lydia. It seemed extremely forced to me. And someone else mentioned Cora? REALLY???

Fact: Jeff Davis said in an interview around the time Allison was killed off that he always intended to have Scott/Allison and Stiles/Lydia as endgame.

Educated Hypothesis: It seemed obvious that Cora was meant to be Stiles' love interest but then the actress booked Reign. Then Malia was put more into the picture.

Also its been established why Malia got paired with Stiles. It was a easy and plot conventional way to explain why she would be a part of the group.

Also fans complained that Lydia had other love interests and Stiles didnt, so he gave Stiles a love interest to balance it out while Lydia was single, so that when stydia got put together it wouldnt have seemed so inbalanced.

2. That does not prove anything. The show could have done a lot of things because they had the "opportunity" - the writers choose the timing. Plus there is an article where Jeff Davis says we never saw Stiles dates or be a romantic lead before and the Stiles/Malia relationship was being used to showcase this. Sounds like true love.

3. So? Either he changed his mind and/or decided to write it differently. It does not change the fact that earlier in the series, he did plan Scott/Allison and Stiles/Lydia. Things change. And how can it be a creation of "Season 6" when Stiles always liked/loved Lydia since Season 1 and they kissed in Season 3. Maybe you do not like how it was executed but the seeds were there.

I imagined Stiles liking/loving Lydia since Season 1 and the kiss in Season 3? Right.

Read my #3 again. Jeff Davis did have a plan which was to have them together in the end. And since we are almost at the end of Teen Wolf, they are together. Whether it is short lived or not is beside the point.

I miss Stiles and Malia together. I don't see it happening but I really want them to get back together in the second part of the season.

I really liked this couple. I have said it before but I think the whole Stiles and Lydia storyline is cliche. I know people say he liked her in the beginning but he grew out of that and they became close friends which was a better and more original storyline. I hate how Jeff just had Malia and Stiles end without any real closure when he is her anchor and they had some really heartfelt, romantic scenes together. Plus, the way Parrish was written this season was maybe the worst writing of the entire season. They spent all of last season establishing that he was connected to Lydia and they were similar. I'm not sure that they spoke the entire season and he spent most of his time walking around with flames and shorts on. Those two aspects were a huge let down in an otherwise pretty good season.

I'd love Stiles/Lydia in any possible way but don't get me wrong I'm not sure I would be able to watch all those Stiles/Malia scenes till the end of the show and then watch a friendship between Stiles and Lydia.


many times while watching Stiles and Malia's scenes I kept thinking of Stiles and Lydia and how I'd love Holland Roden even as Malia more.? I know it's crazy as *beep* Like Shelley is great but I will always prefer Holland Lol that's why it's just that Dylan and Shelley don't do it to me. like they have some kind of chemistry but it's not enough to me anyway.. it was quite the same with Sawyer and Kate - Evangeline and Josh from LOST especially in season 3 :)) You just can't help it.

Maybe. I think Dylan and Shelley have that kind of hot sexual chemistry and I guess I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of chemistry in some scenes they remind me of Sawyer and Kate from LOST and I wasn't a huge fan of them either.
I just prefer that chemistry that Dylan and Holland have got even though for many people it is not sooo good chemistry for couples but well, if you look at the real life couples sometimes it doesn't seem like they would be a good fit at all but to them it's enough.

To Malia.? He just asked her once.. about something like what she is feeling for him. it was their reunion scene in 4x10 but he never talked about his feelings for her. that's what I remember.

I don't think there will be any romantic endgame for both of couples. it's just sad that damn Jeff Davis spent the whole season 6a about Stiles and Lydia becoming a couple and then he's saying in some interview.. yeah they will break up after one month and will become friends again.. I and my first boyfriend were dating for 5 months like WTF.. and he still has got feelings for me even now..while I wasn't even feeling any kind of romantic love he looks quite similar to my late brother. who died when I was only two years old :'(( That's why we are friends now and I like it that way but he doesn't . :(

That's my point exactly! Malia is the girl who slept with him on the first night are we putting Stiles above a regular teenage boy tho? What people don't get is Stiles and Malia are over and they grew apart naturally. They like each other but this deep strong ever ending love was never part of their relationship.

Jeff is right about Stydia too. Stiles been wanting Lydia forever, and now that they're together, he might find out that the fantasy is way much better than reality. It happens! As a Stydia fan, I can accept such conclusion and be fine with it.

My biggest thing about this r e t a r d e d ship-war is how people are making things bigger or smaller than it really is. Claiming the show sucks because they don't have their way like really? The show sucks regardless but it still something we all watch because we love it despite the horrible writing. Right?

I lived with Stalia for a season an a half without any complaints from me, but no one can live with Stydia for 10 freakin episodes especially there haven't been any interaction between them for 8 of them? Now there's a petition online to stop them being a couple online? Is it really that serious!

Stalia was really there for one season (12 episodes) + 3x20 + 5x01. after that I don't even remember them interacting much except three-four scenes with the others and that break-up scene. So with comparisson with Stiles/Lydia's scenes over all seasons (whether they were friendly or more kind of romantic) it's not sooo much big of difference..

yeah fantasy is better for Stiles than the reality now. but that won't excuse a lack of Stiles in season 6b :)
