Good lord, this show could be used as a purgative. I nearly had to forego my lunch upon watching him get sick downing some dish of rancid meat and raw eggs in Morocco.

Whats the most disgusting thing hes ate? That roasted sheeps head was pretty horrifying - the way he pulled an eyeball out through the back and slurped it up, complete with graphic sound-effects.

Who belongs in a frekshow are the people who don't bother trying anything outside of fastfood and american chain resturants

Slurping and eating in a 'noisy' manner as Americans would put it is often a sign of enjoying ones meal and is appreciated in alot of places.

The eyeball hehe I've never had and would probably have to be in a very funky mood to try it but from anyone I know or have seen that has the will to try it has said it's a pretty good thing

The Travel Channel aired this episode recently and the whole rotten meat eggs segment was absolutely revoltingly disgusting, largely due to his reaction and graphic description. I'm beginning to think that Zimmern is something of a food masochist.

I swear I read that in some cultures slurping your food and making mouth noises is an acceptable way to show your hosts that you are enjoying your meal.

I was shocked to see him spit it out like that. I've seen him eat rancid fish, but he can't eat a fruit that's common in Southeast Asia? I've seen many people (american tourists) eat it, and some thought it was ok while others didn't, but none of them had spit it out.

They may be slightly offended though. Maybe it's kind of an ego thing? Like, if you do that, it means you cooked very well. Kind of like when people enjoy getting compliments on their steaks or whatever.
Personally I love this show. If I had the money I'd totally do what he does, although since I can barely bring myself to eat pasta I'm not sure if I'd get far.
