Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Why thank you :)
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Even if Laurie "forgot" Jamie, John wouldn't. They'd have to be twins, both born in 1981 in both timelines. Can't get around that. Jamie was abandoned when both she and John were 7. No sister was ever mentioned by John. Just can't do it. Sorry. No need for it either. Jamie's dead, the baby's whereabouts unknown, no plot there.

Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Not so in my premise "John" doesn't have to be 18-20 yrs old he doesn't have to exist at all and what do you mean there's no story here ? Laurie has a grandchild that's good story enough for a sequel

Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
You can't have it both ways. You can't re-establish 4-6 and ignore H20-8, that too would piss off the fans of those movies. You can't win.
by no story, I meant that Tommy, Kara, Danny and Stephen left at the end of 6 for parts unknown. Unknown to Michael. In a planet of 7 billion people, how would he ever find them? H20 got out of that with a file on Laurie. No escape route here. So again, no story if you can't find them. Even with movie magic it just doesn't work. And the story is 21 years old, way past expiration date of the target audience who wasn't even alive when it was in theaters. So backtracking that far is out.
At least people are more familiar with the original than it's sequels. Some don't even bother with the sequels and would have no idea on the 4-6 story.

Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
It used to bother me, but in retrospect, I can see why they made the choice they did. The series had become a hot mess by the time The Curse of Michael Myers rolled around. For the sake of story-telling and creating a film that people actually wanted to see, I think they made the right choice. Doesn't mean I don't have some issues with the film as is, but they were wise to steer the ship away from all of that crap.

Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Personally i wouldnt have mind if parts of 5 and 6 were ignored since it throws the series into contunuity problems. However 4 should be cannon in my opinion since it is the best of the jamie movies. The best way those three films tie into h20 that the thorn cult killed those that had a connection during 88-95 and alterted the events making it seem like michael body was never found thus the cop logic in the opening.
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Jamie wasn't Laurie's daughter she was her niece
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
No, she's was Michael's niece. She was Laurie's daughter. 10 years ago, he tried to kill Laurie Strode, now he wants her daughter. You talking about Jamie Lloyd? Wherever she is, that little child is mortal danger.
That was the exact exchange between Loomis and Meeker.

Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
I don't want to nitpick but Jamie was Laurie and Michael's niece and while I am not 100% on who her parents actually are I always figured there was another sibling born later who had Jamie. As far as in the three with Jamie him not going after Laurie I think was because by that point she had faked her death already. As far as Jamie's parents dying in a car accident I think that was just a coincidence. All of this is based on my understanding and interpretation of the plots for the Halloween movies so I could be wrong
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
I stand corrected on everything I said after I wrote my reply I got curious and went to Wikipedia and checked the plot for the ones involving Jamie and you were right Jamie was Laurie's daughter and they just completely disregard three movies worth of an established character to rewrite history for H20
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Why? Parts 4-6 were awful
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
Part 4 is good. 5 is bad. Producers cut of 6 is decent while the theatrical one sucks.

Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
I rarely watch 4,5,6 or 8 since they are pretty much garbage in my opinion. Season Of The Witch is better than all four of those for me.
Re: Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
I watch the first four and h20.

Don't like the forgetting parts 4-5-6
I call BS except for the disappointment of when part 3 came out and there was no Michael Myers (Season of the Witch) - to me this film although good as a stand alone Halloween film truly a huge disappointment to those of us who were fans of the whole Demonic Satan worshippers that were controlling Mike and making him go whacko in parts 4-5-6
The premise I was hoping for in a JAMIE LEE CURTIS return to the franchise was 20 years after thinking she was dead and her daughter getting adopted that we find out she was put away for mental issues and didn't know about her daughter and create a story from that angle
Finding out by this time that not only was Dr. Loomis was murdered by Mike in part 6 - her 16-17 year old daughter was also murdered by her brother but unbeknownst to her she has a grandchild she must protect
It would have been great and there would have been some continuity and sheez JLC's fans would have still got boners that she returned
Just my thoughts I am going to watch Trading Places right now and grease my schnitzel to JLC's nude scenes OUT HERE
