Season of the Witch : Sword hand (spoiler)

Sword hand (spoiler)

Awfully sorry if this topic has been chewed to the end here, I just didn't have the energy to read through every message here.
However. Felson fighting with that altar boy Kay. Behmen tells Felson to go easy and use the other hand. Oh my how those names rhyme. Behmen and Felson, Felson and Behmen... Ah nevermind. Anyways.. what "the other hand?" Felson with quite showoff trick tosses the blade from his right hand to his left. Is that the "other hand"? Or did they add that line in the movie simply because they needed to explain why Perlman knife fights with his left hand, which in those days was seen as the mark of evil/demon? Yes, we all know Perlman is left handed and he also uses his right hand very efficiently.

Re: Sword hand (spoiler)

You're way over-thinking this.

It tells you that Felson is an exceptionally dextrous fighter which moments later tells you that the altar boy is no slouch since he held his own against said dextrous fighter

That's it. Nothing more complicated than that.

Re: Sword hand (spoiler)

And you've oversimplified a tad. Yes, Felson is ambi-dextrous with a sword. But he's clearly stronger using his right hand rather than his left. So, in order to give Kay a chance at not dying immediately, Behman told Felson to use his other hand.

Destroy all that which is evil, so that which is good may flourish.

Re: Sword hand (spoiler)

Just like in The Princess Bride?

Re: Sword hand (spoiler)

Well, no, nothing LIKE the Princess Bride at all. The Altar boy wasn't left handed as well, so... :)

Re: Sword hand (spoiler)

Can't you people just shut up and watch a movie? Who really gives a flying *beep* if the actor is left or right handed. The point was don't kill him use your other hand.
