The Twilight Zone : What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
"Where Is Everybody?" The talk in our household was that there was a new TV series coming on, so we all sat down and watched it, and boy did that first episode deliver! Not only were all production aspects top-flight (not that I consciously realized that at the time, as a little kid), but it also was the perfect introduction to the series, because it aired at a time when the space race was just becoming the most publicly-engaged face of the US/USSR rivalry (and that side of it I did realize).

"Queen of the Nile" when I was 4 or 5. Scared the hell out of me.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
A nice place to visit.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
The first episode I remember watching and still my favorite was "The Hitchhiker". Not only is it indelibly cemented in my memory, it was my introduction to the beautiful Inger Stevens.

I was a kid, and channel 11 New York WPIX used to show reruns of the Zone, and I had no idea what it was, and had no fan to guide me into the show, and it looked creepy (not in a good way) and I didn't pay any attention to it for a long time. I think the first one I can remember actually watching was "Kick The Can", and I was *not* particularly hooked. I really can't remember when or how I became a fan of the show.

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
In reflecting on this, I've come to realize that I must have eventually learned to love the show off of those WPIX reruns, because I do have a clear memory of being in high school when that disco "Twilight Zone" song was on the radio, and I *clearly* knew what the Twilght Zone was at the time and wasn't pleased that they had disco-ified it.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
For me it was "Time Enough at Last." My dad introduced us to the series with that VHS rental and I was loving it.
Ha! That was my first one too. I saw it when I was about 9 when a local station started setting aside a bloc of programming for random vintage tv shows. I've never gotten over it.

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
I don't know if it was the first episode I saw, but the earliest episode I remember seeing on TV was "The Eye of Beholder" back in the early '90s, when I was in Grade 1. Needless to say, I was creeped out when the faces of the "normal" people were ultimately revealed, and that imagery stuck with me for the rest of my life.

"Long Live Walter Jameson." I remember thinking "I bet this is Twilight Zone" I watched it for awhile, and decided it sucked.
I wasn't about to let my opinion be tainted by one episode, especially since I knew it was an anthology series. (And an Iconic one at that.) Later I would begin watching the full series on Netflix.
I was struck by the quality of filmmaking in the first episode, they managed to make a guy wandering around an empty soundstage interesting. The show has varying degrees of filmic quality, but it's definitely one of my favorite shows now, and Rod Serling is an inspiration to me as a writer.
I still don't like "Long Live Walter Jameson" very much, but there are certainly worse episodes.

Eye of the Beholder on WPIX.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. We watched it in primary school.
Traumatizing.

Impossible to remember. I was born in 1959 and watched Twilight zone episodes and re-runs since I was a very small child. I've rewatched episodes so many countless times that I can't think of which one impressed me the most at an early age. Weirdtrying to think back.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
'The Prime Mover', for me. As a child in the late '90s, I had never seen anything like that until dad had a SYFY marathon on one day. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I was a little disappointed watching it again when I got Netflix, because I didn't like it quite as much as I remembered. Still pretty good, though.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
First episode I recall seeing was, "Time Enough At Last", and thought it was brilliant. I didn't start watching The Twilight Zone until I was in college and actually glad it was at that time because I had a better appreciation of it, than I would have if I saw it as a kid.
Many people have listed, "Eye Of The Beholder" as their first, and I recall seeing it early on when I first started watching. That episode was also brilliantgoing as far to say beyond brilliant.
Rod Serling was a man way ahead of his time and it's sad that we don't have another man like him today.

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
The very first episode I ever saw was "Mirror Image"!
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
"Where Is Everybody?" I was 12 when the show premiered.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
As I recall, the first TZ show I watched was A Piano in the House. It was on a Miami station in reruns in the 70s while I was there during a two-week vacation. I then saw some other third season episodes like Still Valley, The Fugitive, and Five Characters in Search of an Exit. I thought they were great and I was hooked for life.

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
For me, it was very likely the original, official pilot, Where is Everybody?, in its premiere airing in 1959.
Intriguing, mysterious, spooky, with just a little nod at the end to the US space program/courage of astronauts

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
Eye of the Beholder on a SyFy marathon got me hook, like, and sinker. I always had a mild passing interest in this show and saw maybe a handful of episodes, but Eye of the Beholder is really to thank for my obsession with Twilight Zone. :-)

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
"In His Image". The first three seasons of TZ were on after my bedtime, but when the show moved to Thursdays an hour earlier, I finally got to watch. When Alan Talbot gets hit by the car and pulls back his skin to reveal wires and transistors, I freaked. My parents were sorry they let me watch, but I was hooked!

Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
"Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" it was the first time I saw William Shatner, playing a character other than Captain Kirk.
Re: What was your first TZ episode you ever saw?
"Little Girl Lost". It kind of scared me.
