CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

If you look at the soldiers in the Nazi cartoon there are some shots where they are CGI animated. It's very basic cgi but it is obviously computer generated. CGI wasn't really possible until the late 70's and that was a lot more basic than the stuff in the cartoon.

Maybe that secret space and time machine could make cool cartoons.

Just a random thing I noticed.

Are you 'Comic Book Guy' from The Simpsons?

Secret nazi CGI experiments?

"*beep* Mickey Mouse. *beep* him in the *beep* with a big rubber dick!"

Re: CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

this thread made me piss myself and cry all at the same time, i love it lol

i did think that instead of doing it cgi, as they did, that they should have done it in period style, ie. old school techniques.
i think that would have worked much better, but retaining the storyboard that was used.

If it's any consolation, you guys were not the only ones to notice the "too good" quality of the cartoon!

Re: CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

Don't think the film was thought trough too well. Just made for entertainment they werent exactly trying to win awards or create an artistic master peice.

Agree with ThunderBlade5723.

Re: CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

Agreed too, but whilst this movie was good - with a bit more thinking put into it, it could have been awesome.

Just some attention to detail here and there.

Re: CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

Yes, they "should have." CGI is a lot cheaper/easier these days...

Re: CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who found that *REALLY* distracting and annoying. Of all the plot-holes and stuff in this movie, the CGI in the period cartoon (yes, I thought of the Rocketeer one the moment this came on!) just bugged the hell out of me. Was it really less work to use CG renders with a 'cartoon' shader than to have someone draw crude 40's artwork?!

Re: CGI in nazi cartoon made in 1940's!?

Um yeah it probably was..who cares?

And lol @ someone who sees plotholes in a Nazi Zombie scifi Horror flick. Grow up you pretentious a$$hole.. Do us all a favour and stop watching movies you know you don't like just to find "plot holes" which on IMDB translates to "I didn't pay full attention to the movie" or "I didn't like this movie".

Go back to watching Sparticus and leave the Horror movies to the Horror fans.
