Quarterlife : NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

This was the most annoying 15 minutes of television I have seen in a long time (had to stop watching for fear of migraine). Just absolute crap. My advice to NBC: Place remaining episodes on dung heap, douse with kerosene, light match.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

I don't understand when people say things like "Thankfully they are cancelling this show" "Thank god that show is done". Does it truly effect you if a show that you don't like is on TV? Enough that you are thankful that its not on? I just don't get it. If you don't like a show, why would you wish for it to be cancelledunless you only get NBC in your house, I don't see the point.

(not saying you personally wish that shows would get cancelled - but because you said "thankfully" I had to ask)

I didn't like the show because of the silly love triangles and that hideous girl with the glassesshe's scary to look at. But I could care less if the show is on or not.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

THANK YOU! I completely agree. People are always whinnying about shows being on the air and how they want them canceled. Just don't watch them if you don't like them.. oh well though, this is unfortunately canceled now

Yes, because it would be taking the place of something else that could be on.

There is a finite number of prime-time network slots; by this piece of garbage getting cancelled, it frees one up.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

Maybe your problem is that you're relying on NBC or other channels to come up with great new shows. FX is much better, HBO & Showtime too.

Actually, I don't have a problem. You asked a question, and I answered it.

It seems like you are too stubborn to accept the answer.

Also, your post is a non sequitur, which leads me to believe that your original point is worthless.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

Actually, I asked that question to the original poster - that's why my reply is indented under his.

How is my post illogical?

Pardon me if I am incorrect, but someone who cares if a show gets cancelled on NBC because it could get filled by something better sounds like someone who has a problem. The problem is that he or she expects NBC to pull something out of their a** and possibly watches too much television.

If its not you who has the problem, there are those who dowhich is why I am recommending branching off to FX and some premium channels. There is nothing silly like Quarterlife over there.

EDIT: I will say that "Dirt" on FX is pretty bad. That show seems to be the exception.

The effect of this show has no affect on me, either.

In the first few seconds of seeing some gal on the webcam, I switched. Sorry. There's too many webcam blogs of chicks blah blah blah-ing for me to pay attention.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

Maybe if you watch the whole thing your head will explode and the world will be a better place.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

First episode sucks
but it gets better
well not better enough to be worthy of a favorite show, but now that the writer's strike has ended and our shows aren't back on yet, we need something to watch that's not PURE crap

besides, Scott Michael Foster is hot!

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

Hmmm.. I actually really liked the show. It was something different compared to the (what 10?) crime scene type shows out there (CSI shows, law and order, criminal minds, cold case, shark, NCIS, etc etc). What really surprises me is how Eli Stone is doing well on ABC. I fell asleep during that show.
Since the writer's strike started, I have not watched anything on TV. Kind of disappointed to see quarterlife canceled after the first episode.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

i realize that this show required intelligence to watch and enjoy it, however i did not realize that so many of you lacked that intelligence. go back to your reality television.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

Shoot! I was looking forward to this show.

Go in with no expectations, come out with no disappointments.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

I liked about the first four or five online episodes of this showwhich turned out to be ONE tv episode (the pilot). There really is nothing to look forward to on this show. The cast gets all jumbled by about the 3rd hour's worth of eps and the writing gets even worse thereafternot to mention the acting, which becomes even more atrocious as the series drags on (that guy who plays Eric should really find another profession). Any networknetwork or cablethat airs this lemon must be really fresh out of quality productions! This show is NOT going to save that mess the production companies got themselves into called the writer's strike.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

Wow, everybody is so negative about this show. I really liked it. I thought it was original and well done. This surprised me because I'm 56 and never like most of the young TV stuff. Again I'm out of touch with the American viewing audience.

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

as i flipped thru the channels, i caught about 10 minutes of this show on bravo and marveled at how incredibly bad it was. it was almost bad enough to be fun to watchbut, not quite. i changed the channel. yuck!

Re: NBC will cancel after first episode - Thankfully!

NBC should have picked up Quarter to Life (http://imdb.com/board/10848602/) instead. That short film would have been better suited for a tv show.
