Project Runway : Tim must regret himself

Tim must regret himself

When watching the season and seeing what a nasty little tw*t he saved. He thought he saved the bullied, but really saved the bully. A very untalented bully that is.

Re: Tim must regret himself

It's such a waste of a save. Cornelius's dress looked like it would function as an abortion or a colonic machine, it was just gross and poorly made, and the guest judge was the only person to be honest about how disgusting it was. And Cornelius just criticizes everyone with the same boring mean girl shade every week. No one cares, he's not funny and the other designers are so much better than him.

Re: Tim must regret himself

Hated that dress. The guest judge's comments were on point.
It's ridiculous that Cornelius is still there.

Re: Tim must regret himself

disagree. Its not about his attitude but about his work. I see the same potential in Cornelius as Tim does. Hes ambitious and creative and I think if he had access to more time he could come up with some amazing designs. Im hoping he makes final 3 honestly. Hes made a couple really great designs this season. For me, rik is the odd man out. Honestly, everything he has turned out has been mediocre garbage. His taste level is reflected in his designs

Re: Tim must regret himself

Yeah it was a wasted save. The only Corny dress I liked was the one he created last week.

Re: Tim must regret himself

That grey dress accented with the primary colors was awesome.

Re: Tim must regret himself

Cornelius a bully? How so? He's a bit delusional; thinking he should make FW, but I didn't get "bully" from his actions or thoughts!

Re: Tim must regret himself

Well he spent all season doing nothing but making fun of other people's looks while producing not a good garment once. He may have done this mostly to the confessional or to his friend Nathalia, snickering behind people's backs, but he definitely had the "thoughts" even if he didn't say it to people's faces.

Re: Tim must regret himself

In all fairnesshe's not the first contestant to say rude things in his talking head and, as long as the show keeps going, he won't be the last. But I do think alot of his comments are unnecessary, too. It grinds my gears when a subpar designer makes fun of the other designer's works. I can overlook it if they're good at designing, but not when it's someone as mediocre as Cornelius.

Re: Tim must regret himself

You got it! It was unnecessary, but the true bully and loser was Dexter who was eliminated with Nathalia! Both were so full of themselves with such mediocre offerings!

Re: Tim must regret himself

In the blacklight challenge he started bashing Erin's dress, and she was just sitting a few feet away. I have never seen anyone on Project Runway do that before. Quite an atrocious behavior!

Re: Tim must regret himself

Shows how much I remember of this crap! I may have seen it, but without desire to see it again, it's hard to retain!

Re: Tim must regret himself

I find it interesting that there is so much venom towards a person people consider toxic hypocritical.

Re: Tim must regret himself

I don't think you know what hypocritical means. How is not liking someone who is overly mean to others hypocritical?

Re: Tim must regret himself

If you take what he says to the extreme, there would never be debate!

Re: Tim must regret himself

Cornelius was an unpleasant person (at least IMO), but he wasn't a bully. To be a bully you have to bully people, and Cornelius never did that - he was simply an obnoxious purveyor of toothless snark. And he was delusional about his own abilities. He was in no way worthy of being saved by Tim, and far overstayed his welcome, but thankfully he's finally gone.

Re: Tim must regret himself

Bullies also confront their target directly, Cornelius resorted to talking behind everyone's backs.

Re: Tim must regret himself

So how is someone bullied if the person is being spoken about behind their back? I'm totally confused; I put a big WW = wrong word on that moniker!

Re: Tim must regret himself

Actually I was making the distinction that bullies confront their target directly, and that Cornelius talked about his behind their backs. Therefore, Cornelius is NOT a bully. Sorry if my original post may have appeared fuzzy.

Re: Tim must regret himself

I am not commenting on the comments above. I don't have an opinion on them and I see lots of designers cutting other designers every week in the Talking Heads section. Anyway the episode where Corneillus got the save, he was given the save for a specific reason. He was doing that challenge sincerely as far as I could see and the two other people on the challenge were conspiring against him and then reporting that he was the one that did not do the challenge correctly. They used him when they needed someone to eliminate. This is why Tim saved him, in addition to any latent design ability he might show up with. He didn't have enough juice to win the whole thing and probably Tim knew that but that particular episode was perfect for the Tim Gunn save and Tim used it. It was good TV.

Re: Tim must regret himself

Re: Tim must regret himself

That was all editing and producer manipulation. Cornelius sitting there complaining about his treatment and then they quick-cut to a scene of Erin and Dexter talking and laughing. Probably on a break, not talking about Cornelius at all. And Cornelius was the one snarking about the other designers with that annoying, self-satisfied smirk in confessional after confessional prior to that challenge.

Giving Erin and Dexter the "mean girl" edit in that one challenge came completely out of left field, especially when it was Cornelius who was belittling Dexter up to that point! And the whole thing was dropped almost immediately afterward. So weird and random.

Based solely on talent as a designer, it was ludicrous that Cornelius was saved and ended up being there longer than Dexter.

"Two gin and Frescas"
"Shaken, not ridiculed"

'Dress maker not a designer'

I think Tim Gunn went a little overboard when he insinuated that Roberi may be a "dress maker and not a designer" in the finale, part 1. It did not sit well with me. No matter who the winner is on all seasons of Project Runway, it seems they always pick one with a "fresh" point of view, but at what point does "fresh" become a little cliche? Roberi is a true artist, and I'm glad he is going with his original vision instead of listening to Tim's "cruel" statement (Tim's words, not mine)
