Animation : Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

Which film do you prefer? As of now I prefer Alice in Wonderland but I need to revisit Peter Pan to be sure.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I guess Alice In Wonderland. I never really liked Peter Pan because of how unlikeable the main character was.

8.4/10 to Alice in Wonderland, 7.7/10 to Peter Pan

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I prefer 'Alice In Wonderland' because it had more weird characters than 'Peter Pan.' White Rabbit, Caterpillar, the talking flowers, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb, the Walrus and the Carpenter, the Hatter, the March Hare, the Dormouse, the Queen...

Peter pan was fun, but all they had were flying kids and goofy pirates.

'Never Smile at a Crocodile' is one of my favorite classic Disney songs, though. It'd make a great tuba solo.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

Both are some of the weakest Disney films from the classic era (1928-1989). Alice in Wonderland was a favorite of mine until the 1999 live-action/puppetry adaptation made it seem so bland and repelling in comparison. As for Peter Pan, as someone else mentioned, it suffers from a very unlikable protagonist, but overall has better structure.

Both films have a good number of redeemable qualities, so I'd say they're pretty much even.

After having the same signature for, what, ten years? I'm not sure what to put here now.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I like both but I prefer Peter Pan just a little more, mainly for the action scenes and the comedy duo of Captain Hook and Smee and how they play off each other.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

Peter Pan, however I like both films.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

Alice In Wonderland has always been one of my fave Disney movies from childhood and I could kinda relate to it, given the fact how it was hard for me to transition from being in a private school to public. It felt so weird and discomforting for me.

I never really cared for Peter Pan. I didn't watch it growing up.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I love both, but I prefer Alice in Wonderland. Peter Pan has the most annoying excuse for an animated Disney protagonist (he's marginally better in Return to Never Land).

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

It's definitely Alice for me, though I like Peter Pan well enough.

I was going to write a new Sig today, but everything changed when the fire nation attacked.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I prefer Alice in Wonderland to Peter Pan, There is so much weirds going in the former, especially the mad tea party (thanks to lewis Caroll of course). Makes it more entertainig then PP, thought the latter has one really gooed song 'The seont star to the right".

Neither of these movies are my favorite Disney animated movies of the fifties. Mu favourites are Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp, because I can empathise much more with the protagonists of these movies.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I'm going with Alice. It's been a million years since I have seen Peter Pan, but I never remember liking that much.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (1951) vs. Peter Pan (1953)

I love both, but I'll give this to Alice in Wonderland since I actually like the protagonist. Peter is an annoying (and ugly) pain in the a**.
