Unscripted : Nothing spells *beep* like Unscripted
Re: Nothing spells *beep* like Unscripted
I thought there were some humorous moments tonight. This show won't make you guffaw like Curb Your Enthusiasm but it seems to aim at getting at some of the absurdity of these actors' quests.
The guy set up his friend, who was stealing his auditions, by having him go to a gay porn audition.
Jennifer sings about a sleazy casting couch situation and makes that guy who got her the line leave the gig.
Krista screams at the wrong casting director and so on.
Guess there are some audition stories these actors have to share.

There's one thing that I wasn't quite sure about. When Jennifer was singing about the casting couch thing and the actor from "Yes, Dear" was there, it looks like he was getting quite uneasy and offended. Did he think that song was supposed to be directed at him??

You're missing the basic point of the show, which is show the life of the struggling wanna-be actor.

Good job to HBO for giving these people a chance, but this is taking it a little too far.
I mean, when your audience still has questions about what they are watching even after the second show, you know you're in trouble. It's like they're trying to hard to be creative but using a bunch of has-been actors who can't even keep you entertained.
Point is - if someone is not creative enough to win an audition when you tell them what to say, then the last thing they should be doing is improv.
They have so many celebs walking in and out but the show is too choppy to garner more than 5 minutes of my time.
Time to go watch Ali G - at least I know what I'm watching.
