The Big Bang Theory : What's in a name?
Re: What's in a name?
My screen name emanated from my favorite TV show. I use to watch it all the time growing up. Then as an adult when I started working in television production, it was the first place I worked in that field. A real dream come true!

Re: What's in a name?
From my amateur theatre days. My favorite role was Margaret Roper in "A Man For All Seasons"
Re: What's in a name?
Back in the 80s, I used to play the Marvel Super-Heroes RPG.
"Black Guardian" was my main character's name (totally unrelated to the Who villain).
Over the years, it eroded to just "blakgard."

Re: What's in a name?
Thank you.
I actually softened it up. For a while my screen name was SteveCarsonIsASaint, but I thought I'd try something more subtle with wwscd. I left clues from time to time for BLT to figure it out, but if he/she/it was able to decipher it, he/she/it didn't acknowledge it.

Happy Valentines day, all.
Qat, is one of those words that are super handy
when you need to get rid of your dang Q, while playing Scrabble.
I play a few games everyday, with robots..
usually while dinner is doing it's thing in the oven.
I had a puddy tat in my lap, when I made my IMDB account.
Tadaaaa!

Re: What's in a name?
Erica Rene price is my board pseudonym becuase obviously I'm not going to use my real full name online. I shortened the Renee to Rene and Renee Allison price is the name of a character in a series of short stories I've been working on since High school, it's basically inspired by Gossip Girl but set where I live.
I'm hoping to get them published as a series one day.

Re: What's in a name?
Are you any closer to getting those published?
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Re: What's in a name?
Well, pleased to meet you! That is if I haven't met you already.
Imagine that! You went back in time and found this thread! I'm truly humbled…

Re: What's in a name?
I love this thread. It’s interesting learning the history behind people’s names.
Re: What's in a name?
It is. I find it interesting to know how people picked their screen names.
It's strange to go back and look at other threads on this board from back when I use to frequent it on IMDb.

What's in a name?
I just quoted something interesting from LiteraryLadyofLothl on another thread.
Since we do all have fake names I'm curious about others here. What is your fake name about and what does it mean to you?
Margo Channing comes from one of my favorite movies starring Bette Davis All About Eve. I've loved it since I was a little girl. Bette Davis played Margo Channing. One of her most famous lines in the movie is my signature.
While deciding on what "fake name" I wanted for the IMDb message boards I decided on something from one of my favorite films. I also felt that the line was perfect for these boards.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Now what's yours?????
