I was happy to hear the news that we got at least 1 more season! I'm pretty sure season 11 may be the end though. Especially since there is a Sheldon spinoff series.

I am ok with season 11 and i don't think 12 will happen but the new show idea is not something i would watch.

For fcks sake I hope season 11 is the last. I do wanna see this show through the end but it's been hard lately with the declining quality and recycled bits. SERENITY NOW!!!

I've seen nothing definite that everyone has signed on the dotted line. I hope they don't. I'll watch if they do, but it's just not as funny as it used to be. I have NO interest in the prequel at all.

I love Amy. Mayim has great comedic timing. Get rid of Raj. He's never funny anymore.

Glad to hear it's returning (provided the OP is accurate). There are so few good shows on Network TV these days. Last night's episode was the best in a long time.

As for the Sheldon spinoff - unless it's REALLY good, it may very well get bounced by November. In that case, Season 12 for TBBT could happen. If the spinoff is a success, then I'd bet Season 11 is the last.

There's not an official source saying the show has been renewed. The whole thing hangs on how much they're willing to shell out and how many seasons it would be renewed.

As a guideline, Two and a Half Men was 2 seasons into Ashton Kutcher being on it when it hit its season 10, and it got a final two-season renewal. But of course, there are more actors on BBT that should be getting higher salaries.

At this point, I'd say BBT is a go for at least one more season, as CBS is finally gaining a bit of traction with some of its sitcoms but still needs its heavy hitter. I would say a 1.8 is the Mendoza line when it comes to sink or swim on a show.

The article that person mentions links to a Berlin-based website that apparently thinks BBT airs on Fridays, as they gave the 11th season premiere as September 1st.

The article also mentions Jim is going to walk because of another show he supposedly is in that is still only in development for Freeform (formerly ABC Family) called The Monarch is Going to $#*+. The IMDb page for that show is blank, although there is confirmation Jim is attached at The Hollywood Reporter. The HR article says Jim is a producer with Todd Spiewack (his partner in his production company), but it doesn't say he stars in the show.

Lots of holes you can drive a truck through on this one.
