Best covered songs used in films

Off the top of my head-

Donnie Darko- Mad World by Gary Jules (original Tears for Fears)

Cake- Halo by Gary Lightbody (original Beyonce)

Clueless- The Ghost in You by Counting Crows (original Psychedelic Furs)

Others?

Obvious choice

"Singin' in the Rain" in the movie with that title.

Also "As Time Goes By" in Casablanca.

.
Mr Smith: Like the rose trampled on the ground, you took the fall

Re: Obvious choice

Excellent choices! Perfect films, both. Great songs too

Not popular opinion, but I do like Tom Cruise's covers of Paradise City and Wanted Dead or Alive in Rock of Ages. I noticed a while back rewatching Sky High that I Melt With You is covered at the end by Bowling for Soup instead of Modern English, and they didn't do too bad. Also the music-only rendition of the Smiths' Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want in Ferris Bueller's Day Off really suited the scene and I liked it alot.
