Pantywaist.

Not panties and not waist. Pantywaist.

Edit: This one might be too hard. I don't hear young people use it very much.

I don't have any with "pantywaist" as one word, but I have it as two words:

What's the fuss about? Boring as hell!!!! Give me zombies any day!

I agree. I didn't watch past S1E1. Maybe I'll try again later.

I think it's popularity arises from its appeal to a fantasy many drug-habituated people have of obtaining the ever-elusive 'never-ending supply.' We're the most in-debt, addicted, and medicated cohort in US history, because the majority self-medicates to numb vulnerability. But the problem is, you can't numb yourself to pain without also numbing yourself to joy, so you always end up feeling empty and painful inside anyway, in the end.

But Methamphetamine is not like milder substances like beer and pot. It's a chemically toxin-laden, deadly drug that has many poisonous impurities and metabolites that first destroy your teeth, then destroy your mind with paranoia (which can be irreversible), and finally destroy your body (which is irreversible) by aging you about twice as fast as normal due to accelerated metabolism and massive continual oxidative stress.

Not that I have anything against what others choose to do with their bodies, I don't. It's none of my business and I prefer not to judge. I like to party as much as the next guy, but Meth sounds awful, and I've seen it destroy the lives of people I loved in the past.

But the same could be said about alcoholism as well, which is perfectly legal. Ultimately I believe that consenting adults should have absolute freedom to pursue happiness in whatever way they see fit with their own bodies, even self-destructive ways, as long as their actions are victimless and don't infringe upon the rights of others (i.e. drunk driving, which endangers others on the road).

Surprisingly, smoking cigarettes kills more people annually than every other illegal drug combined, and they are perfectly legal over the counter. Turns out pure tobacco is mild for most, used in moderation, but the 300+ chemicals with which they spike cigs to addict you harder and faster always contain a very small fraction of micro-radioactive isotope(s), primarily Polonium, which is the stuff that was used to poison Alexander Litvinenko in the UK. and the accumulations of those over time is what many in professional medicine think has contibuted to the increase in incidence and early onset of lung cancer these days relative to days gone by.

Turns out Big Tobacco corps have known about the radioisotopes for years and sat on it, contributing to literally millions of accelerated deaths by lung cancer, because the lungs are especially susceptible to radiation. Go figure.

I wish people would stop underminding the military

I mean they did their best I'm sure to stop the zombies, but their weapons for all intensive purposes just weren't enough. I mean right now soldiers are a diamond dozen, but in post apocalyptic times they are hard to come by. I think people want to use the military as an escape goat when talking about the zombies taking over, but that is unfair. It's really just a mute point anyway because it happened and worrying about why it happened won't help anyone.

I am open to arguments here, it won't hurt my self of steam. I just think people take it for granite that the military will always protect us and that may not always be the case. After all is set and done they can only do what they can do. Once you realize you can survive without the military your eyes will be open to new possibilities and you will have a new leash on life.

I don't want to signal out people on this board as the only ones who can't seem to understand how the military works, but this has just been coming up a lot here. You can get mad at me or just chock it up to a rant and we can be friends. jriddle and people of his elk will try to say it's bad writing that made the military fail, but I don't buy this excuse. I don't usually participate in those threads but I do ease drop and I know what kind of stuff they say. Riddle will go to great links just to bad mouth this show and it's getting a bit sad.

In reality the military failure was just the appetizer that led to the ontray. The apocalypse happened, but the failure had to come first. So everyone who is getting upset over this just needs to curve their anger and get on with their lives. Stop being so coal hearted. I respect you in the up most, but I've had enough. I know I'll probably be a social leopard now, but I had to say what I had to say. I'm getting a mindgrain now so I need to go.

I forgot you take Adderall. There's your problem.

I'm glad you're quitting the job. That's too much at once. And if your job makes it so you have to take stimulants, it's definitely not worth it. They are KNOWN to make sane people insane.

Yeah, your coworker IS an asshat. It might not be a terrible idea to get a sleep study done and see a sleep specialist if coming off the stimulants doesn't work. I felt horrible despite getting sleep and got one done, apparently my tonsils were so enlarged they were cutting off my breathing and waking me up upwards of 28 times an hour. Got them out and have never had the problem since.

I had a Duvel some time ago and it was great. There's this pub that specializes in Belgian beers and ales. They had Westvleteren, bit it was almost 30 bucks a bottle! I had about six beers and then headed out for the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout. Kept falling asleep during the fight!

Re: The "pick a random word and I'll post a random board quote" thread

Great! I think I was involved in that thread about beer, but I'm not sure.

Re: The "pick a random word and I'll post a random board quote" thread

Jesus! I remember that thread. I couldn't afford the damn Westleveren (sp?) and was so pissed!
