No they are reactions of audience members at early screenings. However, the audience members have to fill out waivers acknowledging they are aware of being recorded. So, I guess you could say some of the reactions may be exaggerated. However, that audience is most definitely watching the film and being recorded.

I know someone who went to a screening of Silent House, after the movie was over the auidence was asked to do some scared reactions for one of these spots.

That's actually not true. I've been to more screenings than most people, and me and my brothers are actually in the commercial for Project Almanac, and we didn't sign anything. They just had cameras out and would go past the crowd, and they also have GoPros set up on the theater walls, and also had photographers in the theater as well.

It may not be true for you I was just basing my reply off of the screening for Paranormal Activity 3 that my stepbrothers went to. They said they signed forms letting them know they would be recorded as well as NDA forms.

You can tell its all jump scares.
Plus they mainly show female audiences that tend to overreact or maybe simply react to these cheap scares rather than a man would or rather it being worth reacting to it anyway
