The Walking Dead : LAST TIME ASKED: Fave show of ALL time?

LAST TIME ASKED: Fave show of ALL time?

Mine:

Justified.

Smart dialogue, great characters, violence, rednecksWhat more could you want?

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Seinfeld.

I considered Breaking Bad because I loved it the first time through, but Seinfeld's a show that I can still watch and enjoy as reruns.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

It's funny I haven't watched it in reruns. I was a fan off all the Costanza-centred episodes.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Curb Your Enthusiasm is pretty much the George Constanza (Larry David) show. I liked that series too.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Kramer made that show for me with all his physical humor. Holy Carp, that dude makes me laugh.

LOVE Curb your Enthusiasm

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Breaking bad or 2 broke girls

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

2 broke girls? REALLY, Melody??

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Jk

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Walton Goggins was that whole show.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

This

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

He was great but I am a Timothy Olyphant fan as well.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I don't have a favorite Corwin, but Justified and Seinfeld would be right up there. The Wonder Years, The Bridge, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, China Beach, and Leave it to Beaver are favorites also.

If you liked Justified and have never checked out Longmire, do so it's in the same vein and is very well-written.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

The end of St. Elsewhere was the single greatest troll job ever done on an audience by the show runners. It was classic.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Oh god, yeah.

BTW Couldn't you Americans have made more of a star of Howie Mandel??? He has come back home to Canada to inflict his crappy presence back on us.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I guess he had to to get the free care he so desperately needs. He's more batsht crazy than Howard Hughes was at the end.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

What made what you wrote even funnier is that was that he was all over the TV all last month promoting a national mental health awareness day!

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Sounds like the job he was born for.
Please keep him up there until he dies.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I have started Longmire, it has a more gentle pacing than Justified but I liked it. Read the first Longmire book, too.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I just binged this show's first season This Is Us (2016)

I couldn't stop watching.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Princess Corwin is binging on that, too.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Princess Corwin has excellent taste.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

A few weeks ago, NBC randomly aired the pilot. I had heard good things about it from friends, so I watched it.

I loved it and was will definitely have to catch 'em all at some point.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

It's hard to narrow down to just onebut if I had to it would be Six Feet Under or Breaking Bad.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Choose!

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Favorite for a current series?

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Sex and the city - the series NOT the movies.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Which character was your favourite? Samantha?

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Despite my username, it's Miranda. I'm a Miranda.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I used to love how the boyfriend Steve used to say/whine:

Mee-ran-da.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

2 great choices. I will allow 2 in this case.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Lost! I recently rewatched it for the first time since it originally aired. I loved it all over again! My original screen name on my other account was Not-Pennys-Boat.

Some of my other top shows: The Walking Dead (until recently), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the X-Files, Battlestar Galactica (2004)

Fave sitcoms: Roseanne, Raising Hope, Malcolm in the Middle, The Office, How I Met Your Mother

Corwin, I see you are watching Longmire. Last month, I just started putting that on in the kitchen while I'm doing the dishes. I don't think it's great but I do like the Sherriff and Vic, and surprisingly Lou Diamond Phillip's character. I like the scenery too.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

The first two seasons of Lost were amazing, appointment viewing TV. Then it 'lost' it's way a little (ho ho, I am so funny..), but still a great one.

I loved BSG and the Office. I pretty much am an older slightly more ambitious Jim Halpert.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Lol. In looks or personality?

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Jim's personality with Phyllis' looks. But fatter.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Bahaha! That's a nice image!

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I gave up on Lost when the plot seemed to be made up on the fly.

I saw the movie Prometheus, also written by Damon Lindelof, and got more of the same. "Mysteries" that were never explained and never will be.

Aunty's wacky short stories (a rare event here) are more appealing to me.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Prometheus = terrible

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Prime Suspect.
The Office (Brit version: and I looked at Penny's list)
Buffy gets honourable mention.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Not Broadchurch?

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I watched season one of Broadchurch. It was entertaining, the scenery beautiful (strangely enough reminded me of southern Maine in the US), and I really like the female detective. The show was uneven, though. And I think the actress who plays the murdered child's mother is terrible. She did not look like a devastated mother. She could take some lessons from the mom in the first season of The Killing.

Oh, I add the Killing to my favorites list!

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

You know what, she was the weakest part of that show. But still, cmon, a very powerful show, the UK version I mean.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I enjoyed watching it, but I felt it was very similar to the the Killing (American version) but the Killing was better.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I liked Broadchurch, but it wasn't a favourite.

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Ricky Gervais did a great job with The Office, but I laughed more over his interviews of Karl Pilkington in The Ricky Gervais Show!

Karl Pilkington (non-cartoon form) and the concept of infinity!

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

Yeah, those guys are hilarious!

Re: Fave show of ALL time?

I need to watch the British version of the Office for comparison.
I've only seen Ricky Gervais in Derek.
