Re: Second Best Movie in a Series

Batman - 89 if we're talking just the old movies, TDKR for the Dark Knight trilogy
Spider-Man - If Civil War counts, it would actually have to be my #1, making The Amazing Spider-Man my #2
Shrek - Shrek 2
Rocky - Rocky I
Rambo - Rambo III
Mad Max - Fury Road
Friday the 13th - Part 2
Halloween - H20
A Nightmare on Elm Street - New Nightmare
Scream - First movie
Saw - Saw 2

Evil Dead - The Evil Dead (81)
Insidious - N/S
Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest
Austin Powers - Spy Who Shagged Me
Twilight - N/S
Hunger Games - The first movie, Catching Fire being my #1. I thought it was the most exciting
TMNT - Don't really remember enough of the movies to pick a second best. I'll go with '07 as well.
MCU - Winter Soldier
Ice Age - If I recall, I said Dawn of the Dinosaurs was my #1, so The Meltdown will get my #2 spot
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - only seen the original
Kung Fu Panda - Kung Fu Panda 2
Madagascar - Escape 2 Africa

Re: Second Best Movie in a Series

Awesome picks! You really need to check out the other Child's Play Movies (most notably Child's Play 2, 3 and Curse of Chucky, because Bride and Seed weren't that good) and the other Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies (most notably Parts 2, 3 and the remake films. 3D whatever you like and Next Generation I wouldn't recommend).

Sorry if this reply was very late but nice picks!

Re: Second Best Movie in a Series

Not a big fan of series/sequels. I've seen no more than one film in most. In some, only one film was worth watching.

Before - Before Sunset
Terminator - Terminator 2
Star Trek - VI, The Undiscovered Country
Godfather - Godfather 2
Shrek - Shrek 2

Re: Second Best Movie in a Series

Cool choices. As for my response saved for the "Worst Movie in a Series" post, that's cool if you liked TASM2, I actually sorta enjoyed it myself. It's just my least favourite if I had to compare it with the prior 4.

Re: Second Best Movie in a Series

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 just felt so accurate to what a Spider-Man story should be. I loved how Spider-Man tried to resolve conflicts with villains without violence, I LOVED the relationship drama with him and Gwen, I loved the villains, I loved how well it balanced the light hearted characters with the dark storyline (Something quite common in Spider-Man comics), I loved the performances, I loved the score, I loved the themes...No where NEAR as bad as Spider-Man 3, in my opinion EASILY the worst Spider-Man movie.
