What was the last movie you've seen?

Re-opening the topic after it was closed for being too big.

In my case:

Manchester by the Sea

Very good film. Moving, thought provoking and dramatic. Very solid.

FYC: La La Land, Chazelle, Washington, Davis, Rhodes, Shannon

Silence

Masterpiece, IMO. I can see why the Academy wouldn't go for it though. 10/10

Snowden (2016)

It started good but I feel that the movie itself could've been made much better. It was disappointing despite it's notable cast like JGL, Zachary Quinto & Nicholas Cage.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996)

The Plot:

Mature, dark and gothic. A sad tale of manipulation that ends in triumph.

Favorite Character:

Quasimodo.

Favorite Line:

"Quasi, take it from an old spectator. Life's not a spectator sport. If watchin' is all you're gonna do, then you're gonna watch your life go by without ya." - Laverne

Favorite Scene:

When Quasimodo finds his ultimate strength and rescues Esmeralda from the fire.

Final Verdict: 8/10

An entertaining fantasy with beautiful art/imagery. Characters you care for and a strong message of acceptance.
